Great Reel at a great price. I did remove 1/3 of the line on one reel and found it worked better that way. Don't worry there is plenty of line for a shark tooth hunt. I bought one for me and one for son. I really like the thumb lock. Much easier that other models I've looked at. I'll buy again if I ever wear this one out.

Line tangles easy. This could be a good product with some work. The line tangled and I had to wait until I got home to get it untangled. The sides are not high enough and the spool spins to easy. Needs higher sides or less line and a way to control the speed of the spool. Would also reccomend a knob instead of a screw head so the spool can be removed more easly if the line does tangle.

I spent the whole dive untangling the reel. the string kept going off the side,and going underneath the reel and jamming.would not recommend to anyone

Line can easly get between frame and reel. Keep tension. Use with floating device...
Don't waste your money

The line gets tangled in the reel on every dive. Very frustrating.
Not very durable

I have had this product for about a year and used it on ~40 dives. Recently the side of the reel completely broke off. The plastic around the bolt appears to have sheared off. For the money it is a good basic reel. However do not expect it to last.
