the material is thin, I have used ones in the past that were made from much thicker material. It also has these velco taps sewn on the inside that made it impossible to thread my strap through. Maybe there is a trick to it or a different strap I was supposed to buy. Also, even if I was able to thread my strap through this, the velco tabs on the inside didn't line up with openings in my strap. So they would have served no purpose. My 2 cents.

This is a great, cheap add-on. It makes it much easier to wear your mask, without sacrificing grip; I was afraid it would make the strap more slippery, but it feels very secure. Also serves as a sunblock for your forehead when out of the water and helps keep your mask afloat if you drop it.

And if you're one of those guys who prefer not to show their higher credentials on some dives, you can always flip the sleeve over and it becomes a plain black strap.
