Karen G Right now my mask is in a plastic container. Will this bag protect it from squishing my mask in my checked baggage on the airplane like the plastic container does?
RANDOLPH T I don't know how much you stuff on top of your mask but I been traveling to the following with these bag with my masks (I have three) going to Hawaii and Los Angeles. It is cushion enough to protect them. I placed these bags with check in with my wet suit etc. so it really doesn't get crushed and these masks are expensive to be replace.
STEVE G This is a padded, soft fabric case similar to a regulator case. It will provide some protection, but maybe not as much as a hard case.
GINA G I have bought two of these bags. We travel two to three times a year and have never had a problem with our masks being smashed in these bags.
STEPHEN N There are no guarantees when it comes to airline baggage handling but I've been using them for several years without a problem. I always bring two and pack the masks inside my wetsuit for protection. Masks are pretty tough. Only a direct hard pressure on the glass is likely to damage one.
NICK W I picked up one for my wife, son and myself absolutely love them. They are soft padded cases that protect your mask from scratches. You can store your mask with your snorkel attached in this case. You lay your snorkel across the top and close the flap over top of it. As far as checked baggage I would put your mask in the hard case and take this along with you. All three of our mask are in this case right now in our dive bags.
GILLES R It will not stop it from being crushed. I actually don't use it for my mask anymore for that reason. I now use it to protect my camera! I went back to the hard plastic cases for both of my masks.
