Questions about this item:
Tony K Can I use this for "Mares "Volo" Open Heel Fins Small Blue "? If so, what size is good for me. My foot is man 7 and wearing 7mm shoe.
Thank you.
TAMAR K Hi Tony
There are 2 kinds of ez spring fin straps. the one with the metal wire that fits old style fins like the scubapro jet fins and then you have the one for recreational diver with buckls that should fit your fins (so the description in the site declarers). I am a size 9 with 5 mm boots and have the large..
Enjoy :)
PAUL C No, this spring strap is intended for "old school" style fins like ScubaPro Jet fins or Aqua-Lung Rocket Fins. You should buy springs that mention Mares or Mares Volo .
Shopper will these fit aqualung slingshots? if not what springs do you recommend? what size for 10.5 shoe?
BOB T According to the EZ Spring parent website "Innovative Scuba" your fins require the "Recreational Diver" strap with the standard quick disconnect buckle. To determine the correct size put on your fins with your boot and imerse in water and cinch the strap to a secure fit. Disconnect the the buckles and measure from tip to tip. Then choose the smaller EZ spring strap. When you receive your EZ spring strap from LeisurePro and they not fit, determine if they are to small or to big. LeizurePro will exchange them for the corrected size no problem.
PIERRE S These straps are designed to fit jetfin type fins with a clampon attachment and slidr over seruring sysrem. The aqualung slingshot has a plastic clip attachment and will probably not work with these fin straps. If you have a 10.5 shoe size the strap size should be large.
Shopper I wear both 7 mil boots (wet Suit) and a "shell" style dry suit. Have large Scuba Pro Jet fins. So should the straps be large or XL?
SPENCER H to get a good fit, put on your boots and fins, tighten the exisitng straps, and measure the distance around your heel from where the buckle pin goes through the fin on one side - to the pin on the other side. Subtract about 3/4 inch and select the size by the size chart on LeisurePro.
SPENCER H To get a good fit, put on your boots and fins, and use a flexible measuring tape to get the distance from pin to pin on the Jet Fins.
Then subtract about 3/4 of an inch and compare to the size chart at LeisurePro.
Now, the good news.
If you select one that is too long, you can shorten them. It requires a few tools and some patience, but you can take the perpendicular black cylinder off the end, bend the spring at the necessary point, cut off enough to the spring to allow the bent portion to fit back into the cylinder, and reassemble.
When you do this, you might want to look for a Do-It-Yourself guide on ScubaBoard or DecoStop forums. Some of the DIR divers think it is really important to back up the spring with wreck line in case the spring breaks. Don't feel you need to do this, it is a little like backing up a concrete wall with a sand castle. Your backup would need replacing every year but your primary system would likely last many years...
PAUL C That's difficult to answer as there are many variables...such as type and size of boot/booties worn with the wetsuit, and same for your drysuit. The two different boots may fit the fin foot pocket differently and leave more or less foot outside of the pocket. If the distance from the tip of the fin to the heal of the wetsuit boot and the drysuit boot is approximately the same then the same spring should accomodate both boots. I find that generally I like a smaller/ tighter spring as I like the fin to feel secure - without too much stretch.
STEVEN R It depend on your boot and fin type and size. For example, I wear a size 10 standard boot and use large spring straps on large and XL Jetfins. When wearing a dry suit with attached boot or a dry suit with attached latex or neoprene boots and an over boot (as with rockboots, etc) I use an XL and XXL Turtle fin with XL spring straps. A 10" (L) spring works for me with standard neoprene boots and a L and XL Jetfin. An 11" or 12" is needed for bigger boots and fins.
Hope this helps. You might contact Leisure Pro and ask them. They've been very helpful when I had questions.
Steve
ROD B HAVE GONE THROUGH 2 SETS OVER ONE DIVING SEASON AS THE LOOP IN THE BACK IS WEAK & TENDS TO RIP RENDERING THE EASY PART USELESS.
Shopper Hi,
Do these fit Cressi-sub Rondine ??
Cheers
BARBARA S No idea...we bought it for the Scuba Pro Jet Fin (for the XXL) and it fits fine.
BRENT D I bought the ones that were designed for Jet Fins. {i.e. Scubapro, Aqualung, Parkway}. I cut off my buckles inserted open ends and pressed tight.
They make 2 or 3 different end types. There is an end that will match up with Cressi type buckles. Not this one.
BOB T If your Cressi Sub Rondine Fins have the industry standard quick release plastic buckle it should work. ISC website states their "EZ Recreational Diver Spring Strap: Includes industry standard plastic quick release buckles which easily attach to most fins. ISC contact info is listed below:

Shopper What size should I buy if I own xl scuba pro jet fins?
GRAHAM B I have a pair of XL Jet fins and I chose a size LARGE Spring straps. I have size 9 1/2 feet & dive in the cold North East so typically with 7mm wetsuit boots or drysuit & these work great for me.
Good luck & happy diving.
MAREK K Slip the fin on without the old strap, but with bootie. Take a string and run it between the mounting holes around your heel. Subtract about 1/2" for stretch. Then order the appropriate length.
RUSSELL H I have X-large Jet fins for my dry suit and bought the XL EZ Spring Grip fin straps. Had them for three years now and they work great. Much better than the original rubber strap. Easier on and off.
ERNEST S I got XL. They work great.
mike b Has anyone tried these on the old style (not NOVA) SCUBAPRO SEAWINGS? How did they work?
ROBERT M I'm not sure what a "Sea Wing" is. I've used this strap on a set of Scuba Pro "Twin Jets" for about the last three years or so. I don't remember exactly when I installed them. The hardest part was driving the metal pin out of the old strap attachment. Once I succeeded in doing that installation was easy and the strap has been very satisfactory. In fact, if I buy another pair of fins, I'll buy spring straps at the same time and install them before the first use.

BOB T As a Fire Dept. Public Safety Diver I use ScubaPro Jet fins as my personal fins at work. The EZ Spring fin straps allow quick on/off and are secure and comfortable. The EZ Spring fin strap is not just another SCUBA trendy gotta have thingy,,,,, they work. Now if I can find a way to put them on my Force fins.....................
CHRIS S I have used them on the old school style Jet/Rocket fins, and they have worked great. They also work fine on the longer JBL/Escalapez freedive fins with the open heel.
DANIEL S I used them on my super-old school fins (something french from the 70s or so), and they worked fine.
BARBARA S Use them on the old fashion Jet Pro fins. They are an excellent product, still using them today.
MICHEAL H it worked great. no problems with it
Shopper Is this item come in a pair?
If I'll buy the XL scubapro jetfins, what size of strap should I buy? I'n wearing a simple boots.
Thank you!
ANDY M They do come as a pair. The size depends on your shoe size. I would call and ask them how sizes match up. Hope this helps.
GERARD L Good question,,,,mostly custom fitted !!!.. Cut & shaping is required . Nothing unusual to experienced divers !!!..Otherwise good product !!!
F. ALLAN V The straps do come in a pair - I bought size large for my Jet Fins, which are also large. If you have a boot with a heavy sole, you would probably need the XL strap ( all the dry suit divers use the XL strap)
Jeff H I am getting XXL OMS slipstream fins. I wear size 12 drysuit boots. What size of this strap should I get?
FRED G Hi
Not sure if this helps, because it's a little hard to say. I have size 10 drysuit boots; and I tried size Large springs on my Scubapro Jetfins, and they turned out to be too big; so I've gone with medium springs.
Size 12 might be just borderline between L and XL springs. Since they stretch so much, you can get away with them being a tad short; particularly if you like your fins a bit on the tight side; but if you get them too big; they'll feel loose and you could lose one.
Worst case scenario, is you buy both sizes, put one of each size on each fin and tri them. Then return the pair that you don't keep, as long as you don't dive them you could probably get away with this.
ANDY M I would ask the store regarding sizing. As far as the strap itself, both my wife and I use these straps and we love them. Easy on, easy off.
JAVIER F Not to sure, call customer service and ask for Brett.
Shopper I wear a Scubapro Jet Fin in large size. I measured pin-to-pin and it was approximately 11.5" to 12.5". What size spring strap would you recommend?
TIMOTHY D i bought the large and wear a size 10 boot. worked well for me. over a 100 dives and never feel loose
Michelle D I measured the length around my boot from pin to pin to be 11.8 inches (30cm) which would be the stretched length of the spring strap...
Does this mean that the small would not be large enough given that it is 11.75 inches (unstretched i'm assuming?)
GARY B Michelle,
I wear a large jet fin with 5mm boots. I purchased the medium EZ Spring Strap. It holds the fin snug on my foot, very comfortable at the heal, very easy to put on and take off. Only issue is the pull loop at the heal broke after a few dives. But they are still very easy to put on and off. Good purchase.
Michelle D thanks everyone!
GERARD L If I remember,,,you need a strong pair of Electricans diagnal pliiers & "pump pliers " to cut & close links ..No regrets as this is a custom type item ,,as most dive setups are !!!!.. I am pleased as I am use to this stuff !!!...Again ,,spring has to be marked with marker & "dikes" are used to shorten lengths,, then crrimp onto fin for correct length !!!..Not for some people !!!...Mine are fine !!!...
JULIO O Hi Michelle!
You actually want the SMALL because that .25 in will give the spring some game to retain the fin against your feet.
Even if it is JUST right, it'll hold the fin.
I hope the info is clear.
Happy bubbles
Julio
PAUL C I will tell you that once you get it right you consider this one of the best dive purchases you ever made. I was lucky and got it right the first time.
My suggestion is to go smaller to start...they stretch!
If too big they won't compress and are useless!
Stretching is good...this is what you want . But not too much.
They are very accomodating and don't have to be perfect.
You might have to mail them back for a smaller/larger pair but it's worth it .
These springs are a very good value!!!
Paul C
Shopper Is this suit for OMS slipstream?...my booties size is 7
STEVEN R It is indeed suitable for OMS Slipstream fins. I'm a working scientific diver who's in the water with them for hundreds of dives a year. I use them on Slipstreams as well as the Scubapro Classic Jet Fin. These spring straps are excellent and stand up to more abuse than anyone can give them. Get them. You won't be disappointed. You'll be elated.
FRED G Hi
Yes, these are ideal for the OMS Slipstream model fin. If your booties are size 7; then you'll need the size small spring straps.
MICHAEL S I put these on my OMS Slipstream fins and they work perfectly. I wear a 10.5 bootie and I used the large.
RICHARD F This fits the SCUBA PRO Jet Fins. I think the OMS has the same style "fitting" as the OMS. Just insert the Spring Grip bracket into the fin's fitting and squeeze with some channel locks. Very easy.
Shopper What spring straps do you recommend for the atomic split fins for under $35?
LeisurePro S Here is the atomic spring strap for the split fins for $32.
Shopper I wear a Scubapro Jet Fin in large size. I measured pin-to-pin and it was approximately 13". What size spring strap would you recommend?

Shopper What size would you recommend to fit a 9.5 shoe size?

Shopper do they fit rocket fins and if they do what size do i get .. the fins say one size fits all and I wear a size 8 1/2 bootie
LeisurePro S Yes, these straps should fit the Rocket fins. I would recommend a medium.
Shopper I have a pair of size XL scubapro jetfins. Do you know what the correct size is?
LeisurePro S The large straps should work well with the XL fins.
Shopper Are the price for a pair
Shopper What is the correct size for a size 9 shoe?
LeisurePro S Medium is the usual.
Shopper what size do I need if I wear a size 11-11.5 shoe.
LeisurePro S Large is the usual size for this.
Shopper I currently have plain spring straps (smooth plastic coating around the spring) for my US Divers fins that are equivilent in length to size medium. They work great for my wet boots but my dry suit has turbo soles and the springs slide down to my heel. Would these straps - same size (medium) with the rubber comfort grip help?
LeisurePro S Yes they will
Shopper Do they fit Scubapro TwinJet fin?
