Shopper Is this something that can easily installed, or would I have to take it into a shop to have done?

LeisurePro S If you feel uncomfortable doing it, you can take it to a dive shop and they'll be able to do it in a few minutes (and probably for free), but all it requires is some simple tools to pop out the HP cover on your first stage and insert the hose from the computer console.

Shopper Is there any memory in the computer or a program or software that can be plugged to recored the dive data?

LeisurePro S The information from this computer is not downloadable, but there is a memory that stores your 12 previous dives.

You get what you pay. I bought this computer and ended up buying a better one. In my opinion, there are three functions that are important and are not included:
- Audible alarm
- Nitrox
- Computer connection

In addition, the computer cannot be turned off manually and you have to wait two hours before it turns off automatically, consuming more battery. It is also awfully big…

However, it is a good secondary computer or an entry level one.

This computer is easy to read and easy to set up. The only possible issue is that you cannot connect the dive computer to a computer to import the dive info. If you want to import info upgrade to the XR-2

Really nice computer especially for the price. Easy to read and use. This is my 3rd computer and it is as easy to use as any of them. Doesn't do Nitrox, but I have been on air for 10 years with no plans to change so it was a perfect choice.

The best thing is the changeable battery. With a bit of practice the owner can change it himself. If it isn't done properly only the battery compartment floods. If that happens, a quick wipe and another new one can be installed. I suggest putting in a new O Ring with each battery change.
