stephen c I am 6' 2" 260lbs 46 chest 38 + waist what size would be best and how much weight should i get with the vest ? asap
JAMES M I am 5' 10" 165 40 chest and got a medium which fits perfect so I am guessing XL for your size.
As for weight that really depends on alot of variables such as wetsuit thickness, freshwater or saltwater, do you float naturally or sink etc...
I do not float, normally use a 3/2 wetsuit my normal weights for salt is 12 and for fresh 10. I would start with a mix of 12 lbs of 4lb weight and 4 lbs of 2lb weights then you can fine tune.
LAWRENCE K I have had great service form my Aeris BCD. 50+ dives. I would order a XL, but everyone is different. BTW I always have a 7 mm suit on under it. For weight I keep a 5 lb in each back pocket and 7 lb in each drop pocket. I like the 5 and 2 lb bars. Strange but I find the solid weight to be more confortable than the shot type if you have a wertsuit on. I hope you injoy yours
VIDAL C lg vest would be good. the weight depend on fresh vs salt water and on your own bouyancy. that depends on the person
MICHAEL B I have this BCD and like how streamlined it is. At a 38 waist you'll be fine with this BCD. In terms of weight, my rule of thumb is 10% of my body weight plus 2-3 lbs just in case. But this really depends on how buoyant you typically are. If I were you I'd carry about 28 pounds of lead. Keep in mind that this BCD does not have a third pocket in the rear for extra weight so you will have to cram everything into the two side pouches. One time (but only once though in a 100 dives) one of my pouches released because of the extra weight I was carrying that day. We recovered it quickly and were able to continue the dive with no issues.
ROBERT M XXL would be my guess .. i am 5' 8" @ 180 lbs and i used a Large,
As far as weight .. if you are really good at buoyancy i wouldnt recommend more than 12 pounds, you may have a little trouble getting down but you wont have much trouble after you get to the bottom, these B.C.'s are great but if you use them as an "elevator" you will burn all your O2 and cut yourdive time in half, if you are a new "inexperienced" diver you could use up to 14 pounds, but ask your Divemaster to teach you how to use your LUNGS instead of your BC for buoyancy ... in Fresh Water i only used about 4 pounds with this BC... in Salt i used 8 pounds.. hope this helps ... Thank You..
ROBERT T I am 6"0" 205. I use 12 pounds and have perfect boyancy. You should probably start with 16 pounds
