I am constantly diving but love to do a bit of snorkeling from the shore as well. With the choppy waters that I'm accustomed to, the Cuda makes for an excellent choice in snorkels. It never floods and makes free diving to the bottom a breeze. Not worrying about sucking in a mouth full of water that didn't purge properly is one less thing to worry about when your chasing down snapper at 20 feet. The only problem I've had with the Cuda is the "easy" release mask strap attachment. It seems to stick and not do its job, so I tend to take it completely off when storing. Bottom line is it works great in the water so what else could you ask for.

Leaked

Great for the first few dives, then started to leak a little which is very annoying. Maybe it got banged around too much....either way it hasn't been abused and it shouldn't leak...Read complete review

Comments about Aeris Cuda Dry 2 Snorkel:

Used this item snorkeling with whale sharks in Isla Murjeres. Works great until after 3 minutes of swimming really hard to stay up with the whale. I was breathing so hard that the valve started sticking closed. Finally, had to stop using the snorkel. It is a nice dry snorkel and for most events it works fine. But if you are really swimming hard I wouldn't recommend it.

Comments about Aeris Cuda Dry 2 Snorkel:

FREE AND ROUGH WATER DIVERS STAY AWAY!!

I have abalone and spear fished for 5 years and I had such a bad experience that if this was my first snorkel I may have never gone again. I would imagine this would be a nice snorkel for floating on the surface stopping the occasional splash into your snorkel.

If the snorkel is not perfectly vertical valve randomly closes.

If you purge hard the float will shut on you when you most need a breath.

If you shoot to the surface to quickly the float will close on you.

The least of my complaints is this item causes a good case of jaw fatigue.

It is a bit scary free diving and barley having enough air to make it to the surface. To only find that after purging your snorkel when you gasp for air there is none. Causing you to rip your snorkel off and get a mouth or lung of salt water to choke on.
Way more happy with my less expensive Scubapro twin valve shotgun
