I am constantly diving but love to do a bit of snorkeling from the shore as well. With the choppy waters that I'm accustomed to, the Cuda makes for an excellent choice in snorkels. It never floods and makes free diving to the bottom a breeze. Not worrying about sucking in a mouth full of water that didn't purge properly is one less thing to worry about when your chasing down snapper at 20 feet. The only problem I've had with the Cuda is the "easy" release mask strap attachment. It seems to stick and not do its job, so I tend to take it completely off when storing. Bottom line is it works great in the water so what else could you ask for.

Leaked
Great for the first few dives, then started to leak a little which is very annoying. Maybe it got banged around too much....either way it hasn't been abused and it shouldn't leak...Read complete review

I've been regularly using this snorkel for the last couple months while snorkeling/skin diving and am satisfied with the purchase. The mechanical cut off valve does a good job of keeping water out in choppy seas, but also will sometimes engage at inopportune times. I occasionally deal with leakage under water and sometimes have trouble purging larger amounts of water, but haven't gone looking to replace this one.

Dry Snorkle yes

Used this item snorkeling with whale sharks in Isla Murjeres. Works great until after 3 minutes of swimming really hard to stay up with the whale. I was breathing so hard that the valve started sticking closed. Finally, had to stop using the snorkel. It is a nice dry snorkel and for most events it works fine. But if you are really swimming hard I wouldn't recommend it.
