Questions about this item:
Bruce H I'm an Advanced 75 to 100 dive a year guy and want to upgrade to a hoseless Dive Computer ... I think! I understand the Aeris T3 and Oceanic VT3 are basically the same computer and algorithms, but in different housings. They appear to have similar button configurations. They appear comparable in size and both appear easy to read. My question: is one more highly rated than the other and has anyone got a better feeling about "Aeris vs Oceanic" anecdotally?
ROBERT W Hi Bruce - I recently replaced my Oceanic VT3 with the Aeris Elite T3 so I wouldn't have to buy another transmitter. They are exactly the same, with the exception of the display cover (Aeris has the colored indicators). I dove with the VT3 for about 2 years (~65 dives). When it came time to replace the battery, things didn't go well. It never worked again. I was just out of warranty and didn't want to mess with sending it to Oceanic, so I bought the Aeris since it was on sale. I then changed the battery on my transmitter and it leaked (even with a new o-ring). I cleaned out the battery compartment and let it dry, but I haven't tested it since. I may have to buy another transmitter.
I personally like the wireless feed, but I still have a 3-gauge as a backup. Beyond the battery issues, the computer works great and is relatively easy to use. I consider it a good buy for the $. Hope this helps.
MUHAMMAD B I think T3 is better and i stopped diving if you want i can sell you my computer
Bruce L What is the size of the viewing area of this computer compared to the viewing area of the Epic?
MARK S It's considerably larger.
TARRY W The screen is much larger than the epic, in my opinion it is much easier to read. A buddy of mine has the Epic, and when i bought the T3 he wished he had done the same.
Shopper I own the Aeris 500AI. Will this computer be similar in bottom time caluclations?
Michael C Yes, I believe both computers use the same Aeris algorithm, so the calculations will be the same or very close.
Shopper What is the diameter?
TIM B about 2 inches across on the exterior. love the watch, but for another $450.00, I would be much happier with a Oceanic watch/computer which I could wear as my regular watch and as my dive watch.
Tim
Shopper Does this include a transmitter?
LeisurePro S Transmitter not included. If you give us a call at 800-637-6880 we will be able to set you up with the T3 complete package.
Shopper Does the Aeris Elite T3 have PC access. Can the dive be downloaded to the laptop?
TARRY W Mine came with the cable.
LeisurePro S Yes. Here is the cable you will need for the PC interface.
Shopper Can the readout for air pressure be set to bar ( atmospheres )rather than psi?
LeisurePro S Yes, this computer is easily switched between metric and imperial.

Whats in the box:Computer, Owner's Manual The latest in Hose-less Air Integrated Dive Computer Technology; The elite T3 is streamlined and ergonomically styled; yet the display is large and easy to read. Enjoy the freedom of eliminating a hose from your system, while enjoying the freedom of movement underwater with the elite T3 Hose-less Air Integrated Dive Computer. The elite T3 achieves a remarkable balance between features and usability, allowing you to focus on what's important the dive. With AERIS' optional wireless transmitter (SKU: AERTRN), the diver can also monitor gas pressure from up to three independent cylinders ideal for both technical diving applications with compatibility with up to three nitrox mixes to 100% oxygen and recreational diving. Switch Between 3 Independent Wireless Transmitters The elite T3 is a sophisticated Dive Computer featuring AERIS' wireless air integration technology. An optional transmitter threaded into the first stage high-pressure port continuously sends cylinder pressure data to the wristwatch. Frequencies are individually coded to allow multiple divers to swim side by side without interference with other units, as well as allow advanced divers to monitor up to 3 independent cylinders. Because the transmitter and display module are independent and separately powered units, the receiver may also be easily used as a standalone, non-air integrated dive computer. The Elite T3 Free Dive Mode calculates and tracks Nitrogen Tissue Loading - allowing users to alternate between SCUBA and Free Diving/Snorkeling. The Elite T3 provides accurate depth and time with an amazing 1-second sampling rate for subsequent PC download and analysis. Dive Time is displayed in seconds and minutes. Custom audible alarms include Elapsed Dive Time, Countdown Timer and (3) Independent Max Depth Alarms. You're at 80' (24 meters) with 1300 psi (90 bars) remaining in your cylinder - how long before you need to begin an ascent to a shallower depth? Our patented Air Time Remaining feature calculates your current depth, breathing rate, cylinder pressure, ascent time, and decompression status to tell you exactly how much time you can remain underwater. Dive Time Remaining, like Air Time Remaining provides a 'real' number in minutes, considering Air Time Remaining, Nitrogen and Oxygen absorption, and automatically displays whichever allows less time. The 'Turn-Around' Pressure Alarm is a unique patent-pending feature that allows you to pre-program an audible reminder when you reach 1000 to 3000 psi in 250 psi increments (69 to 207 bars in 17 bars increments). This helps ensure that you return to your exit point with plenty of air. When shopping for a new dive computer, compare the displays. When it comes to viewing critical information, which would you rather see at 100' (30 meters)? The elite T3 features a variety of system and user-customized audible alarms, alerting you to situations that pose a potential danger, or simply serve as a convenient reminder. Have you ever had difficulty hearing your computer's audible alarm? Perhaps that little beep signifying a potentially dangerous situation was timed perfectly with your exhaust bubbles rushing past your ears. Or maybe it seemed insignificant as that huge manta ray soared overhead. You won't miss the elite T3's audible alarm. Once triggered, the alarm will sound continuously for 10 seconds. We know what you're thinking. "That's nice, I'll definitely hear the alarm, but isn't that going to annoy me and everyone else in the water?" We thought of that too. The alarm's job is to get your attention so that you look at the computer. Once it does that, simply press the button and it will stop. You're a responsible diver and the elite T3 treats you that way. So if you're looking for a computer packed with features, a 24 month limited warranty and comes with a comprehensive owner's manual the Elite T3 is the computer for you.
