Questions about this item:
Shopper I have a few dives under my belt and wanted to know if this unit is simple to operate for a novice?
CATHERINE F This is the first full-featured hoseless computer I have owned But my answer would be an enthusiastic "YES". You can use this as a simple gauge (albeit very fancy) or you can customize settings as deeply into the tables as you wish. One feature I think will make any new to journeyman diver safer and more confident is the contiuously calculated "dive time remaining" based on current depth and consumption rate. When I was a new diver I would see the pressure going down and even though I was safely within all parameters, my air consumption would rise due to nervousness. Now, no matter where I am, I get a constant read of minutes remaining.....very relaxing. I would recommend this item to anyone.
COLLETTE M I found the unit to be very easy to operate from dive one. It could use a little louder audible alarm, but I still believe it was a great choice for me.
ROBERT C Yes, the Aeris Elite is easy to operate. One does need to study the operaters manual to fully understand all the benifits. I really enjoy the transmitter, one less hose hanging down. Dollar for dollar you can't beat the Aeris Elite.
PATRICK B Yes it is very easy to use , I would buy over again
Love it
DAWN A It's the easiest computer I've used so far. To read the computer your hand has to be away from your body for the signal to reach it.
JIM F Actually this is the computer that my wife uses, and she likes it for the ease of reading the face, as well as the fact that it is hoseless.
Shopper Does it come with transmitter?
ROBERT C Actually, bought the Elite T3. It came with a transmitter. The first one didn't work but Leisure Pro went out of thier way to make it right and get me a new one before my dive. 16 dives and doing well. You won't go wrong with this product.
DAWN A mine did. may have to pay more, don't remember. sorry
BART J Yes. Just FYI, I think this a really good product. The transmitter is strong enough so that you always have your pressure readings.
BRIAN W Yes, that round thing that fits on your first stage is a blue tooth transmitter.
DAVID D Yes, it comes complete ready to use. It's a very nice unit.
MORRIS C Yes it came with a transmitter, however they would not talk to each other. I had to have them reprogrammed so they would talk to each other.
Nick G Are you able to check your gas supply in PSI while still on the surface (without getting the computer wet)?
JASON P Hi, Nick.
Yes, you can turn on the computer at any time just by pushing the green button on the face. As long as your first stage is pressurized (i.e., your tank valve is on), it will read the PSI on the surface.
JP
FREDERICK Y Nick
Yes, you check PSI while setting up the gear on the boat. The computer starts dive time when submerged in water. Hope this helps.
DAVID A yes.pressure is always displayed as long as wrist unit is activated and tank is turned on.
Nick G Thanks David, that's great to hear.
Hey while I have you on the line, could you tell me if your computer would lose signal from the transmitter at all while on a dive?
Thanks, Nick
DAVID A occasionally if you get too much of your body between transmitter and receiver but it picks signal up again quickly when you reposition .
ELIAS A Hi Nick:
The answer is Yes. With the trasmitter installed on a full tank and the valve open, turn On the wrist unit, and the pressure shows. See p 13 of the Owner's Guide. You may have press one or the other of the buttons to display the tank pressure
I love my Aeris, but I also carry a spare computer in case tjhe battery dies.
Good diving !
Nick G Thank you Elias. I like to have two computers on each dive also. My other working computer is a Suunto Vyper 2.
Please tell me if this computer ever loses signal from the transmitter at all while on a dive?
Thanks, Nick
PAUL N Yes. Once the transmitter is installed on your first stage, most of the computer's functionality, including the PSI reading, activates as soon as you open the tank valve.
Shopper Can you see the remaining air of your dive buddy displayed on your computer?
LeisurePro S The buddy check feature is only available on the upgraded T3 model found here.
Shopper Does it have a digital compass?
LeisurePro S Sorry, the Elite computer does not have a digital compass.
Shopper Does the transmitter have to go on a HP port? Can the computer work as a non air integrated computer if you don't hook up the transmitter?
LeisurePro S Yes, computer can be used without transmitter, but the transmitter has to go into HP port.
Shopper How do this and other wireless computers work if you are diving without the wireless transmitter? I assume it would work like any computer that doesn't track O2 wirelessly, but I wanted to make sure. Thank you.
LeisurePro S Yes, if you have a traditional tank pressure gauge, you can hook that up to your first stage and then use this computer just like any other computer.
Shopper are they diver changable batterys. does it work on mac osX
LeisurePro S Yes, the batteries are user-replaceable. Unfortunately, does not work with a mac.
Shopper will the transmittter fit a scubapro first stage?
LeisurePro S Should work. Fits into standard HP first stage ports.
Shopper Does this computer display the breathing rate, I see it calculates it, but is it displayed?. Is this a "T3"? If not what's the difference? Does it come with a computer download cable? Thanks, Glenn
LeisurePro S will not but will show you air remaining in time. comes with Computer, Transmitter and PC Cable. this is not the T3. T3 will allow you to monitor 3 different transmiters.
