I've got 10 dives with this BC now and I've been very happy with the fit and balanced flotation. It is my first back buoyancy BC, but I really like the stability. I do wish that the BC had a pocket to put things like a car key or other personal items, but I guess that's the point of a minimalist BC. It does have a pouch for small items found below, but doesn't seem meant for personal items.

I'm not a big guy (5-9, 165lbs) and there seems to be a bit of space between my stomach and the abdomen strap, due to the integrated weights not flexing much (I'm keeping 10lb in each, due to diving in the Pacific NW). Also, the weight pockets on the tank strap can make putting the tank on a little bit annoying, but I've gotten used to it now. The integrated weight system is really easy to use and goes in/out with ease.

Surface flotation is great, even in rough water.

I've been very happy with this BC so far, and can't wait to use it in some warm water.

I returned the BC because it just did not fit well, and I don't think a different size would have helped. Once the weight pockets were loaded up they dug into my hip bones, but if I loosened the straps the BC just slid around. It was a disappointment because it really seemed like a nice, well-constructed BC at a fantastic price. Also, the back plate dug into my the small of my back, altering my posture.

Comments about Aeris 5 Oceans Buoyancy Compensator:

I bought it for my wife for a trip to cozumel. She normally rents there. Her comments were that "I've never had a BC that actually feels like it fits". Very comfortable BC. Integrated weight pockets work well and stay clicked in place. BC seemed to be more bouyant than other BC's she used requiring her to dive with a couple more pounds of weight which was no big deal. Overall great value for what we got.

Comments about Aeris 5 Oceans Buoyancy Compensator:

Comfortable BCD. The thing I like about it best was that when inflated, there was no squeezing. To tell the truth, you cant really tell that is inflated at all.

One con was that it will put you on your face in the water if you don't have the correct weight in the trim pockets. No big issue though. After my first dive I adjusted my heavier weights to the trim pockets, it was perfect. I did not experience in side roll at all.

Very good BC except I would prefer 10 lbs. more lift to be more versitle with the type of diving I sometimes do.
