Not a first rate inflatable kayak
By JimVerified Reviewer from Palm City, FL on 3/18/2008
Pros:
Easy Entry & Exit, Easy To Lift, Large weight capacity, Puncture resistant hull, Relatively low cost, Stable
Cons:
Flexes in the middle, Hard to dry after use, Slow
Best Uses:
Flat Waters, Rivers
Describe Yourself:
Recreational
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

This kayak tracks better than the typical cheap inflatable that you can buy anywhere but not near as well a hard shell kayak or the more expensive (and heavier)inflatable with hard frame (like Advanced Elements inflatable/frame kayak). Tracking is accomplished with a hard walled bow and stern and a single skeg approximately 8" long that attaches to the middle of the hull. Nothing keeps the kayak from bending in the middle which can be a real pain depending on the waves where you use it. The biggest flaw I see however is that the three vinyl inflation chambers are more or less sewed into the nylon cover and heavy hull material. This represents a real problem because water always seems to get into these areas and must be dried out before the boat is folded and put away. There are some zippered access points and it may be possible to remove the inflation chambers but it would be difficult at best to get them back in. I have been using a blower to dry the chambers.
