I use mine under a 3mm suit to get 6mm torso protection and still have lots of flexibility in my arms and legs.
It's also great for diving the Caribbean. In the summer, I use a skin for sun and abrasion protection, but you can get a bit chilly after 4 dives. I used to bring my 3mm pinnacle shorty. Now I just wear my Merino lined heater UNDER my dive skin. I stay just as warm, but I don't need help zipping up, because it's less buoyant I don't need as much weight and it's a little less to pack.
The one thing that kept me from giving it 5 stars is that you really can't use it by itself. The arm holes are so large that water pours in and out w/o restriction. Worn under a wetsuit or skin this isn't a problem

I recently purchased this itme and was concerned becuase of the previous reviews regarding this item being difficult to don and doff. Did some research and learned that Pinnacle made changes to this item. The left shoulder on this item now opens to provide easy access for donning and doffing. The shoulder secures nicley with velcro fastners. This is a great product, very warm, and is great for layering protection.

You have to climb in through the neck. It is an awful design and has no use unless combined with another wetsuit.

I bought this to add a little extra warmth while diving in Hawaii. It did not fit well around the neck because you climb into it thru the neck--the neck is too large & doesn't fit tight. I also found that it wasn't warmer than my Henderson pull on vest and that I didn't need the trunk part.
The merino lining was comfortable and the quality seems very good.
The design is poor--not the product.

Extremely comfortable. This suit under my 2/3 jumpsuit is great in the mid 70's temperatures encountered in Hawaii and Baja. The neck is definetly too loose to use it as a suit without something over it. Mine may be too big - it's a large. For reference I am 5' 11" , 190 pounds.
