5mm Elastic Shorty with attached hood for greater thermal insulation, perfect addition for colder waters, can be used on top of other Mares full wetsuit line, or alone depending on water temperature. This special high grade plush does not retain water and actually wicks water away for increased heat retention keeping you warmer during your dive. Additionally Dry-fire plush has a quicker drying capacity which makes it ideal for travel Seals at the neck, wrist, and ankles are lined with either electric blue Sapphfi re Skin lining or Metal Skin Seal. This skin tight seal creates a close barrier against your skin minimizing the flow of water through the suit retaining warmth. Doffing and donning a wetsuit suit is sometimes difficult. Strategic placement of super elastic panels enhances wetsuit flexibility in critical areas and creates a comfortably close fit. TRICOR is a layered material providing a flexible chest panel for significantly reduced restriction of breathing. The sandwiched layers permit the ability to stitch the perimeter for greater durability. The skin out neoprene is quick drying keeping you warmer and more comfortable on the surface.

I had to send this wetsuit back. It is not made for a woman's body. There is literally no waist. Unless you are the shape of a barrel; do not buy this product.

This is a awesome to use in the pool when I teach swimming and the water is below 80 of which I am in the water for 8 hours with little breaks.

So far so good, I really like the wet suit and the fact that it fits is great! It seems true to size, and I can't wait to use it when we go to Florida in a few months. The lake outside my window in Michigan is frozen, so I will address performance after February!

I have the full version of this suit, the 5 4 3 Trilastic and it's a nice suit. Similarly, the fit is a bit awkward as Mares doesn't shape their suits in the hourglass fashion that other brands do, so I find there is always extra room around the middle. It has seals around the neck, legs, and sleeves but the arms are large so water will still get in. My full suit is durable, warm, and comfortable. I am using this as a shorty because I will be wearing a knee brace. I am 5' 5", 125 and the 8 is a bit large.

Variouse uses (Snorkling, Open water swims, body Surf, etc.)

Very awkward fit for a woman's body. I am pretty physically fit, and have proportional body parts. Shoulders fit too tight and narrow-in (disproportionate to mid-section). Hips, stomach, and butt are too big. The biggest disappointment is that this is the second suit ordered, and after returning the first for another size, both are equally poor in design & fit for womens shapes. It appears that the manufacturer has a basic idea of how the suit should fit a woman's body, but falls far short of the mark for true proportions.

The quality of construction appears excellent and it seems like it would be very warm. I'm small. 5'2", 90 lbs and the 6 was HUGE on me. Not sized for skinny girls.

I Live in San Diego, and though it is a “sunny” place, in the spring and fall sometimes is not warm enough for two of my favorite sports. I use my Mares wetsuit for canoeing and for snorkeling in other seasons, not only summer. It is excellent to extend a season doing what I love to do!
