The Velcro hooks will grab any part of the suit, looks like a Lamprey grabbed me, lol!! I added a loop pad to preserve the suit when I'm taking it off & not using it.

good things: design, not cold, easy to put on and off.
bad thing I dont like and nobody dont know about before purchasing: all velcros you have easily stick to this material. everywere. removing them make material a bit shaggy.

If you dive in cold water and can afford this suit by all means get it. It fits nice dry but I don't even realize I have it on in the water. Good warmth easy to get on/off. Getting ready to buy the same suit in 3mm for a trip to florida.

I've purchased at least five wet suits since I started diving in 1995. I've always had a problem getting my build and a suit to match causing slushing problems. I dive mostly in cold spring and fall waters harvesting invasive weeds when flushing is a real problem. This suit fits like it was taylor made! It goes on and off almost as easy as my street clothes. The problem with velcro balling the suit is true, but I took care of the neck closure by cutting a tab of velcro and placing it over the loop. This protects the suit while donning and doffing and keeps the loop portion from sticking to the suit. If you have a hard to fit build to your body, this is the suit and well worth the money! I did buy one size smaller then what the regular wet suit chart called for.
