This an exact replacement of my previous Henderson wetsuit which proved to be comfortable and warm throughout it's lifespan. The fit is excellent, and the design of the neck, wrist, and ankle areas prevent water entry.

Comments about Henderson Henderson 5mm Gold Core Neoprene Men's Jumpsuit:
Just used the 5mm version of this wetsuit on a dive in Lake Michigan. Water temperature at depth was 40 degrees, and I was fine for the half hour dive (with hood and gloves). We were relatively shallow, so there was little compression but I was at least as warm as my buddy who was wearing a 7mm.

Comments about Henderson Henderson 5mm Gold Core Neoprene Men's Jumpsuit:
This is a great all-around suit. It provides me perfect warmth in quarries and ocean diving alike. As advertised, it really does dry in minutes which is great for boat dives and when rinsing it out.

Comments about Henderson Henderson 5mm Gold Core Neoprene Men's Jumpsuit:
I had been hesitating about a Gold Core, mainly because of price. I really like it and am glad that I got it. I also considered the hyperstretch but they just are not as warm. The gold core really does seal and keep most water out and the material compresses less at depth than the hyperstretch. it is really easy to put on when dry. however, when the suit is wet it can be a pain (like other wetsuits). between dives turn it inside out and it will dry in minutes.

Comments about Henderson Henderson 5mm Gold Core Neoprene Men's Jumpsuit:
I'm about 5'11" tall and 162 lbs...the medium large 5mm GoldCore fits me quite well for an off-the-shelf suit. I have dived with the suit about 30 times. The "gold" interior seemed to stick to me-in a good way. I felt that the suit did not allow water to leak in or out which kept me warm. Even when wet the interior of the suit didn't really feel that way. I took the suit, brand new/untried, with me to Cocos and dove 4 times a day for 7 days in water temps. ranging from 73 to 80 F with a 3mm hood (no bib), 3mm gloves and booties and was comfortable. That trip was quite rigorous and surface conditions were windy, rainy, and no sun. All dives were open water off skiffs. Generally, I believe my body type needs a little more insulation than most. The only two nits I have with the suit are that there isn't a velcro zipper lock incorporated into the zipper so you need to thread the zipper leash up behind the back of the collar to prevent accidental openings and the sewn seem has begun to unravel inside one of the legs, but I think I can fix it with Aquaseal.
