Bought this to ease the Herculean task of getting into my 7mm FJ, and also for use in the pool when working on skills. At 5'9" and 165 lbs, the large fits great (and at the risk of sounding egotistical, I'm a little broader through the shoulders and chest). One suggestion- make sure the zipper is completely unzipped prior to donning. I didn't do this one time and it ended up taking a very small patch of skin off my Abdomen (yes, I felt like an idiot!)as the zipper moved down when I was pulling it up over my upper body.

I was afraid ordering online that it would not be tall enough for me. I was pleasantly surprised at how well it did. I have yet to actually wear it in the water, but I think my days of sunscreen use are over. Easy to put on, feels comfortable, tall enough from crotch to shoulders (always where I have my issues) and lycra always is a fast dry.

I have the Mares Isotherm and I dread putting it on cause its a real b***h, but wearing the lycra suit makes it so so easy, it literally slides in less than a minute I'm can be zipped up opposed to 3-5 minutes it took before, plus it adds extra insulation, protects from skin rashes. I bought this skin for a dive trip on the Great Barrier Reef. I wanted exposure protection from the sun and potential things that sting in the water. It fit great -- I'm 6'1", 215 pounds and the 2XX fit beautifully. I don't know how long it will last, but because of the low price, I'm not concerned about longevity.

I have fair skin and a history of skin cancer. This is a great garment to allow me to snorkel in warm water, swim, and lie around on the beach without worrying about sun exposure or putting on sunscreen except for face (and did you know that the chemicals in sunscreens are destroying our coral reefs?) This is lightweight, easy to don and remove, and completely unobtrusive when worn. The only con is that it doesn't make my beer-belly disappear.

I was debating between this skin and another one, but decided to go with the Henderson brand. This is a great dive skinsuit. It makes putting on a 7mm Wetsuit a breeze. It was very easy to slip in and out of the wetsuit and it was actually very confortable to wear around, before the dive.

Another good thing about this skin is that it dries very fast.

FIT IS GREAT-I used to rent a XXL one piece 5 mil Henderson wet suit, because I hated the struggle, the XL (proper size for me) made my man mammaries more round (even through 5 mil!) I figured I would get farmer john in XL, and that would help me covering, plus gives me options. I planned on getting a rash guard top, but bought this as was a good deal. I feared the suit either form fitting (it did but well) and showing off fat or if it was too long (Barely) or loose. XL FITS GREAT, I am 250 lbs and 5'9" Con-I am trying to get as much blue showing so that I blend in with background and don't look like a yummy seal. The sleeves only have a small blue stripe on top. Not full blue. Not important to some, but part of the reason I went with this suit and site, but FITS GREAT. So I gave it ave rating because the blue was real important.

My wife and I bought this to use under our wetsuits, for additional thermal protection, easier donning/doffing of the wetsuit, and to use it by itself for sun protection.

25 dives later the only use sign on mine is the "neosport" logo is rubbing off (not on hers). We do take care of our gear, we rinse it after each saltwater dive, and let it dry properly, never leaving it as a heap of wet clothes.

It serves it's purpose well, and they have held up. No loose stitching or anything like that. It is made of thin Lycra, so treat it as such, and it should last a long time.

I used this as a layer to protect against jellies on recent Pacific dives under a 3MM shorty. Easy on and off and offers some additional protection against the sun. Thin enough to dry overnight for multiple day trips (thinner than a swimsuit layer). For shorter folks recommend sizing down as the suit has plenty of stretch.

I have never worn anything but a swimsuit to do laps in, but thought I'd try this suit to enable me to swim all winter long in an outdoor, unheated pool. I tried it in 65 degree water and was able to last about 30-40 minutes. If my hands and feet hadn't started to go numb (the only uncovered parts)I could have stayed in longer. The suit was comfortable and provided just enough warmth.

I love this suit for swimming in cool (about 70 degrees) lake water. The suit adds about 5-10 degrees of warmth. It is made of very thin lycra (slightly thinner than most racing swimsuits), but it gives me about the same warmth as the shorty sleeveless wetsuit I own. I prefer the lycra suit over the shorty wetsuit since it doesn't add any buoyancy, so I feel the same in the water as I do just wearing a swimsuit. The drag of the suit in the water is nothing; I feel just as fast as I do when wearing a racing swimsuit brief. I like the full coverage of this suit and not having cool water in contact with my arms or lower legs. I cut off the stirrups and the thumb loops (easy to do) and this makes it better for swimming. The suit is unlined in the crotch and is very revealing, so if you care about this, you should wear a racing swimsuit brief underneath. (I bought the one with the yellow stripes on the sleeves and my wife loves the way I look in the suit!) I've only used the suit about 10 times so it is too early to say about wear and getting stretched out.

This is all I wear in Bonaire between May and September. During the cooler season I will at a 3mm shorty. This is perfect for when I am teaching in a pool. I have been wearing it for two years of teaching and diving (so lots of CL and salt water, bumps, scrapes etc.) and it is still going strong. I used this when snorkeling off the coast in cold water. It made putting on my 7mm farmer john's much easier, even when the suit was wet from the previous dive. It also is easy to put on and dried fairly quickly, which was a plus in humid air.

I used this product to keep from getting sunburnt while snorkeling. I hate putting on all that greasy stuff. Some marine parks don't alow non-biodegradeable sunscreen. I don't have a bikini body type, so this helps me cover/disquise my body a little.

It goes on very easy, slides right on. It takes a little more work to get off since the fabric doesn't stretch too much, it takes a small amount of wigling to get the fabric off of the shoulders so you can beging to remove the garment.
I would still reccomend this product to a fellow diver.

I use this Lycra suit for many different purposes. I take many people snorkeling and diving on my boat. Now that I’m over 50, my skin is really aging, and this suit is excellent sun protection but not hot. Going out in the boat to the
Ocean water with wind and waves, I’m always wet and receive comfort from the Lycra. “Good bye Chicken skin!” This suit works well with Scuba diving as well, in warm water I don’t have to worry about jelly fish stings as much. One time down at Cozumel our group swam into a bunch of jelly fish eggs, everyone was stung with little prickle stings, but they did not get through my Lycra suit. For cold water diving, my wet suit slides over my Lycra suite and it gives an extra layer of warmth at not cost to any bulk. Works well under my Dry suite as well.

I use to get stung diving in our tropical paradise but since using this skin suit I have not had any stings and I also appreciate the extra sun protection. Having lost a lot of weight I needed to replace it since it was stretched to my overweight size and had a few tiny holes after about 50 dives and being washed in the machine.

This is a really nice suit for the price. I was concerned about the fit but followed another reviewers advice to go one size larger than I thought I needed. If you stick with that advice you should be good to go.

I read comments about a good fit, but difficult to put on and take off . . . so I bought a size larger. Mine is actually a bit too large but still works great. So your true size will probably work.

The UV protection in this suit is great. That was my main purpose in purchasing it. I've used the suit several times over a week's vacation and it still looks great.

i used this in roatan honduras i neede somthing light and some uv protection this was great as it gave me uv protection and protected my skin from contact with iritance such as coral and jelly fish and things like that my wife also got one for snorkaling and loved it and the best thing is we didnt get sun burnt this time and we were not to hot

While I use the product for warm water SCUBA, I mainly use the product to wear when exercising (elliptical, bicycle). It absorbs perspiration (at least somewhat) and washes and drys quickly.

My only "complaint" is that it was advertised as 13oz weight lycra. I took that to mean it was more heavyweight than normal. However, this is a normal-weight lycra fabric.

I was a little worried the medium size would not fit me based on comments by other reviewers, as I'm 5'5" and 160lb, but it fit perfectly - the wonder of lycra! My wife and I wear wetsuits in the early whitewater season here in Idaho, so we're looking forward to the extra comfort of a skin suit. The Christmas sale price on this item made it less expensive than rash guard shirts I've purchased in the past.

Every dive trip my tendonitis in my elbow would act up trying to get on my wetsuit. with this skin, I have saved myself from tendonitis because my wetsuit goes on easily without any hassle. I can also use it when I snorkle like a rash guard and for sunburn protection.

The price is right, but you might need to break out those sewing skills. The zipper started coming apart at the seams and I've had to repair it twice after only a few dives. Still, it's very comfortable, sheds moisture quickly and provides adequate protection from the sun. It also eases donning a stiff wetsuit.

I purchased suits for my wife and I. We used them on a dive trip to Bonaire. Comfort and warmth was great. But mine did hold up. After 10 dives the seams under the arms ripped out. But my wifes held up great.

Very elastic and easy to don. Makes putting a wetsuit much easier and provide sun protection. Drys quickly, but keep it away from velcro to prevent 'picks'. This was well work the money, just to be able to don cold water wetsuits easier.

My family has about 4 of these if you scrape against a rust old shipwreck it damage the same as the brand name skin. I am sure I will buy more of this skin. My personal one has been used about 50+ dives with minimal signs of wear. Works as an aid when puting on a full suit.

I wanted a skin that would let a white guy from North America snorkel in the tropics without severe sunburn. This thing works. It fits tight but does not restrict and covers from head to ankle. It takes up very little room in the suitcase too.

This is a good product for the price, but do not expect it to have a long life. It does not seem to be as durable as others I have had. This is a preliminary opinion, which might change after more uses.

Having said that, I would consider buying one again simply because of the price.

This skin is a heavier lycra than my old skins and when wet does not stretch out. So far no fading from the chlorine (not an issue if you are using it as a wet suit liner). The fit was correct by the chart measurements and the suit arrived very quickly.

I bought this for my husband for speed skating and it's not bad for the price. I found the material was a little thin and there was no sizing chart for this item. My husband is average height and weight and generally wears nothing larger than a medium but I bought this suit in a large to be on the safe side and he found it a little tight. There was no sizing chart to go along with this item to give a customer help in purchasing a proper fitting suit.
