Comments about Camaro Camaro Seamless Hydronomic 7mm Mens Semi Dry Suit:
I bought a semi-dry suit because of the experience that I had with a different manufactures semi dry suit that I used several times. The other suit stayed dry even after 40 minutes at 60+ feet. I might be wearing the Camaro improperly but it filled with water instantly. Even though it was very wet it is a very warm suit. I dive at the south end of Vancouver Island in 18*C/64*F water and I was warm. I did get allot of water transfer in and out of the suit.
I have contacted the manufacturer about the inner cuffs coming unglued and I am waiting for a reply.
I would recommend this suit but only because of it's price, my next semi dry will get more research and I will spend more money on a higher end one.

Comments about Camaro Camaro Seamless Hydronomic 7mm Mens Semi Dry Suit:
An excellent-fitting wetsuit, it looks good, too. The only two drawbacks I've run into so far are the legs were a little short compared to the chart, so I was glad I had boots with high tops on them, and if you bend forward your upper body too much the neck seal allows water into the suit. For this reason it's a good idea to wear this suit with a hood.

Comments about Camaro Camaro Seamless Hydronomic 7mm Mens Semi Dry Suit:
I bought this suit time ago, si I was trying it before to write a review. I'm from Chile (water at 10°C / 50°F) most of people here dive on dry suits, I prefer this one, gives me the freedom that I want and water exposure (what I enjoy). The suit it's warm, and really ellastic, easy to put on and off, really a good deal. If I have to find a Con, I would say that the zipper in the bak could be better, but it's a wet suit, not a dry one.

Comments about Camaro Camaro Seamless Hydronomic 7mm Mens Semi Dry Suit:
The wet suit performed as advertised. The seals kept the water out and because of the seamless bonding, there was no chaffing. The suit was a bit long because I should have ordered the short instead of the regular length. I was very pleased with the performance of the wet suit.

Comments about Camaro Camaro Seamless Hydronomic 7mm Mens Semi Dry Suit:
I took my PADI Advanced Open Water course this weekend (mid-July) at a quarry in the Midwest and used this suit.
It's very stretchy, rediculously comfortable, and easy to get in to. Of course this means it compresses at depth so there's always that tradeoff. The seams didn't leak a bit and it has large fold-under smooth-skin neoprene seals at the ankles and wrists (I didn't realize you're supposed to fold these under until after the weekend, but I got very little leakage anyway). Neck seal is also a large smooth neoprene, but because it zips up the back you don't have 360-degree coverage and I found you really need to Velcro the back well to seal it.
Finally, the back zipper. Here's where I think the rubber hits the road on semi-dry. The instructors were all wearing way more expensive 7mm's with a dry-suit cross-chest zipper. Because of the full neck seal and 100% waterproof zip, I figured these were the top of the line for semi-dry… of course you pay for it and they didn't seem as flexible (although it looked like some of the guys wore them a little loose instead of skin tight – which they can probably get away with if they don't leak).
The Camaro has a wide double layer of smooth-to-smooth neoprene under the zipper which seemed to work well – as long as you have it laying flat and sealing against itself when you zip up. Something that requires some help as I found out.
As for performance, we went down to 82 feet where the spring water enters the quarry at a whopping 46-degrees, and I was fine with a 5mm hood and gloves. We sat on a platform doing our deep dive exercises for 10-minutes, and I'm not saying I could stay down there motionless indefinitely, and I could definitely feel the cold, but I never got chilled in my core or feeling in any way hypothermic. I got some leakage at the back zip and down the neck, but the suit seemed to really limit the water flow so what got in warmed up fast and stayed there so I actually feel like I warmed up a bit over time after the first cold shock. Plus the neoprene was getting really compressed, so it could probably handle the same temp at a shallower depth even better.
Overall, I'd say it's a good alternative in cool water where you don't want to mess around with dry suit and figuring out what to layer. I think I'd be comfortable in this thing from low 70's (without hood) down to probably mid 50's at medium depth. And the Camaro on sale is a real bargain! You get a lot of suit for your money here.

Comments about Camaro Camaro Seamless Hydronomic 7mm Mens Semi Dry Suit:
This wetsuit has worked out for me quite well so far. I work 40 hours a week running dive operations in a Lake in New york state, the temp goes from 40-70 in the water. this suit has not let me down at all. with 20 hours underwater a week in it(dive times of up to 1 hour 40min), and another 10 sitting in the rain on a boat i have not felt cold once. The suit fits like a glove is very easy to get on and off, and quite affordable in comparison to other semi-dry wetsuits. the only problems ive had, have been one of the wrist zippers not wanting to stay zipped, and the back zipper sometimes catching in the g-lock waterproof seal. If you dive in cold water this suit is awesome. combo it with a hooded vest for comfort around the neck seals and your good to go

Comments about Camaro Camaro Seamless Hydronomic 7mm Mens Semi Dry Suit:
I only had one chance to use this suit. It was a quarry dive where the surface was at 55 degrees and the bottom was near 45 degrees. I was very warm in just this suit with a 5 mil hood. The only thing that got cold was my lips. I was down for about 50 minutes.

Comments about Camaro Camaro Seamless Hydronomic 7mm Mens Semi Dry Suit:
I have used this suite twice so far but put it on in 40 degree weather and had to stick a cold water hose down the front before I could put the rest of my gear on. When they say "semi-dry" the semi is because they couldn't stop the user from sweating, cause that is all the moisture that gets in.
Extremely warm and buoyant. I listed it as "hard to put on" because it takes some getting used to. I am sure it will get easier with practice.
The double covers for the back zipper sometimes get tangled and this requires your dive buddy to help out, but what a great SEAL! No chaffing or rash from seams either.
Because it is 7mm it is extremely buoyant, without any gear on I float on top of the water. Took about 16 pounds to put me on the bottom.
Looks awesome all of the SAR divers I am with want one now. Great suit!
Shipped very quick and in great condition. Would definitely order from Leisurepro again!

Comments about Camaro Camaro Seamless Hydronomic 7mm Mens Semi Dry Suit:
Not for warm water. This suit is awesome. I dove in cold water and was warm. I dove in Warm water and was HOT. Since the water is usually less then 60 degrees I'm in good shape. Planning on an ice dive this winter. If your normally cold this is your suit. Easy to put on and go. I was in full gear and waiting for my dive parner to finish getting her farmer johns and jacket on.

Comments about Camaro Camaro Seamless Hydronomic 7mm Mens Semi Dry Suit:
dove in the ottawa river on march the 20th, water was 36 degrees. I put a bare arctic full vest over and never got cold. In fact my friend got out of the water before me and he was wearing a dry suit. There's no itchy spots because of the seamless bonding and the suit is a breeze to put on and off. It really feels like a second skin and there's no movement restriction at all, just like you had no suit on. When I got out, I was just damp instead of soaked. Great product and simply an incredible suit.
