Bare knows what gets cold on your body and builds its suits and suit components with that in mind. This Bare 7mm Arctic Vest is no exception to the rule. Vest is constructed of 7mm high density nylon 2 neoprene rubber with Nylon1S arm gasket style seals for superwarmth. To ease donning and doffing the vest comes equipped with a heavy duty front zipper. So if warm is what you want look no further.

The 7mm Artic Vest worn over the 7mm Artic Full Wetsuit makes an awesome combo for cold water (Pacific Northwest). When this vest is worn over the 7mm Artic Full Suit it adds an additional 7mm to the torso for a total of 14mm - 7mm full suit + 7mm vest = 14mm in the torso.

This thing rocks! I used it in 65 degree water in combination with my pinnacle seal 3mm and it worked great. It is easy to put on and take off, and I like it more than a farmer john due to the sleevless design. The hood is money too, and it keeps you warm! I have nothing but good things to say about it. It fits true to size.

I am 6'3" and 185lbs so I usually take a large tall size. This one in large tall was a little short in length for me. I ordered the Bare Elastek version which is the stretchy neoprene and it fits well over my Henderson one piece 7mm Hyperstretch suit. Unfortunately the cost of the Elastek is more than the Arctic hooded vest but for me it was worth it to be warm and comfortable.

Use this hood with Full suit, keep me warm at 50 deg F of water temp at 80 ft depth. Easy to put on by comparing to my buddy suit; FJ + Bibb hood. He just finish half way of his suit, but I have them on already. There is a cons that I can think of; it's stiff around neck area due to 7mm thickness throughout. This sometimes give me a difficulty to turn my head and check things around. Quality built!

Bought it to put over my 7mm wetsuit for cold water diving and it does keep me warmer for sure, but it could be a bit more comfortable. I made the mistake of not compensating enough for the 7mm wetsuit bulk and ended up exchanging the first vest for a larger size. It could still be a bit larger, so if you're gonna order this vest as an addition to your 7mm wetsuit, get it 2 sizes bigger than what you would wear over bare skin.

I use this with the Artic 1 piece. Keeps me nice and dry and warm. This added vest keeps a ton of water out with the built in hood.

One thing is the arm pit cuffs are a little tight for me. It takes my buddy to pull up alot on the back to get it somewhat comfortable. I am a bigger guy and 14mm of neoprene on the core though, so that doesnt help.
But a great unit otherwise

Great wetsuit. I use it over my 3mm or 7mm wetsuit. When over my 3mm, I stay nice and warm, but still have good flexibility in my arms and legs.

Hood is a great fit and is warm w/ a vent for bubbles.
