VELOCITY is equipped with all the BARE features such as adjustablesealing collar, flatseem stitching, GLIDESEAL gaskets on neck, sleeve and leg openings to reduce flushing, DURASHIN II kneepads and the BARESKIN chest plate will shed water in core area. LUMBARE-X-TENDER, exclusive to BARE, is a unique panel in the lower back which allows the torso to extend, but retracts to stay tight to lower back.

Just started diving and this is my first wetsuit. I'm a plus size (5'8" tall, 18-20 on bottom and 16 on top). The fit was perfect, even in the hips. Easy to take off and on and very comfortable.

Not very impressed by this suit. Going by reviews it should be the best suit ever, but this 3/2 version turned out somewhat uncomfortable and extremely difficult to don for its thickness. In fact, 2009 version of Bare Sport (a cheaper alternative) fits better and comes on much easier.

I bought a 14+ for surfing and diving. I used it last week to surf. It was great. I did not have any trouble paddling. Looking forward to diving with it.

Comparing Bare Velocity 3/2mm (2007 model year?) to 2009 Bare Sport 3/2mm and Bare Elastek 3mm. Although Velocity is made from 'Progressive stretch' neoprene it is way easier to get into 'Standard stretch' Sport model and of course top of the line Elastek. 2009 suits feel more comfortable, are much easier to get into without breaking a sweat and stretch way better even in the same thickness. 2009 Velocity suits are now available.

This was recommended to me by LeisurePro as I wanted an easy on/off suit for a 7 day trip to Bonaire. This was my first full suit. It was perfect for 80 degree water 2-4, 1 hour dives a day. I purchased this shortly before our dive trip to Aruba. I was delighted how perfectly it fit without being able to try it on first. It is extremely comfortable and I did not get cold while diving nor hot during surface time. I received many complements on its appearance. I purchased the yellow and black one.I'm very happy with my purchase.

I dove in this suit in Punta Cana, DR. The water is a little colder on the Atlantic Ocean side but the suit kept me warm even on longer dives. It is extreamly easy to put on and off. I love it and I will definitely buy a 7 mil.

This has been my favorite wetsuit to date. I got a little bigger and it was accomodating, yet still comfortable. It provided protection from cooler caribbean waters and a full suit like this protects from coral scrapes.

I use this 3/2mm suit in 65 degree and up temperatures. Great fit. Comfortable and easy to put on. Ankle zippers are great. Stretch-ability is wonderful. Exactly as described. Rarely do you get exactly what is described - but BARE has done it with this suit.

I'm a plus sized female (about a size 18-20 on the bottom, 12 - 14 on the top) and this wetsuit is WONDERFUL!! In the past I've had to go to the Henderson Hyperstretch in a Womens Plus 1 (at a much higher cost!!!), but after a friend of mine told me to try the 14+ size in the Bare wetsuits I was MORE than happily suprized. I'd probably be a bit happier if Bare had a 16+ as it's a bit tight in the hip/bum area, but last month on vacation in Honduras I was MORE than happy and comfortable.

If you are a plus sized woman and have been having trouble getting a wet suit, give the 14+ by Bare a try, not all their wetsuits come in this size, but many do. And the price is definetly right!!!

Just received the wetsuit and am thrilled that the fit is exactly as represented in Bare's sizing chart. I've relied on rental suits in the past, usually finding it hard to get a suit that fit easily over my ample hips. This suit was easy to put on and fits like it was custom made for me; the seals on the wrists, ankles, and neck are secure, but not tight; the zipper easy to work by myself. I look forward to wearing the suit in a few weeks for diving in the Bahamas.

A very nice suit. The zippered ankles stay closed and make this easy to get into and out of. Good flexability in the knees and the elbows. The back zipper velcro strap at the base of the neck could have been better designed, it is a bit small.

I just got my C card and am on my way to the Caymans. I needed a "fat girl" friendly suit. Ok, 5'4 and 180. My baby fat still hanging on. This stretches comfortable around my midsection. It fits my petite frame wonderfully - no extra neoprene hanging around my ankles. :) And it zips up without me having to do contortions! It is very comfortable and I would highly recommend it if you've tried every other female suit only to feel like a stuffed sausage in the end. Well worth the extra money.
