As with most hoods, you'll need to "enhance" the hole on the top of the hood. Otherwise, it's a great added layer of protection that helps to seal out water under a full wetsuit. I've done over 50 dives with mine and always pack it -- even in summer.

I ordered this vest to protect my head and add a little warmth diving in the caribean. It was great but it was too small in the chest and I had to return the first one. [...] I would recommend this vest but order 1 size larger for men.

Bought this product to protect my head and provide some warmth on colder dives in the caribean. It was too small at first and I ask for an exchange - it came within a few days and worked great. I had to cut a small hole in the hood to let air escape.

This vest really hugs your skin and provides a nice barrier for any water seeping down your neck from a thicker suit combo. It really helped to keep the cold water flow down to almost nothing. Doubles as a nice tropical layer as well when a vest with a 3mm shorty is needed.

Would have loved to give it a 5 star but, I can't find the label for the size. It seemed a little tight. The product is top of the line so order with confidence. I used it on a recent trip to Bonaire under a 1 mil ful suit. Mostly for night dives.

I found that by wearing this vest under a 1mm suit that I was not feeling as cold after a long shallow dive. It also fulfill the requirement of preventing the back of my neck and head from getting sunburn. The only con I found is that sometimes it chaffs under the arms.
