Just bought a lightly used SolAfx this weekend and love it already. Most of my diving activities are on the Mendocino coast in approximately 45degree water. I used to get really cold in my previous wetsuit, but the SolAfex keeps me super warm and toasty. Love that the attached hood prevents water from flushing in, and I no longer feel like my wetsuit is choking me. Made for men, but as a taller woman I think this suit fits great!

Great suit, after you get in and out of it a few times it gets much easier. Very warm in 60 degree water, bought for colder water but have not had the chance yet. Very happy with this purchase.
Comments about Aqualung Aqua Lung SolAfx 8mm Men's Wetsuit:
After my first dive in this suit, I am quite pleased. Being an awkward guy to fit in a suit (6'-3", 180 lbs) I was hesitant to go for most suits. I finally found this one as it was made to fit someone like myself but not break the bank. I do not regret it at all.
We did a shallow (34 fsw) bay dive in Oregon (bottom temp was 48 degrees) and were under for 40 min. I wasn't cold that entire time. Which is saying something because I get cold pretty easy. I am on the light end of my fit with this suit so I am going to get a 2-3 mm spring suit to make up the bulk and add an extra layer for deeper dives.

Great price, great fit, and warm. Way more comfortable than a farmer john and jacket. No chocking feeling from the hood.

I have had this wetsuit a little over a year now and love it. Dive Monterey County waters at least 3 times a month and regardless of conditions, always as warm as a bug in a rug. The only problem I have is with the knee pads as I shredded them early on and have fixed them with glue numerous times. I love the felxability of the suit but crawling out of the water over rocks on your knees is a "no no" without knee pads. Would/will definitely get another when/if this one wears out.

Changed over from dry to wet, find this suite to not have that initial charge of cold upon entry. Other than feet and face and hands , totally satisfied.
Comments about Aqualung Aqua Lung SolAfx 8mm Men's Wetsuit:
Great suit. Keeps you warm throughout the entire dive. Easy to put on and off. Was surprised by signs of wear after 10 dives - largely cosmetic, but I hope they do not progress and shorten the life of the suit.

Comments about Aqualung Aqua Lung SolAfx 8mm Men's Wetsuit:
This suit is amazing - cross chest zipper easy to work alone after doing it 2 or 3 times to break the zipper in, slightly stretchy material feels good and makes the suit easy to don and doff, I was just as comfortable in this as in a 7mm farmer john in 50 degree water. Integrated hood is not too tight in the neck, face seal minimizes water entry. Virtually no water circulation, no shock on entry. I am very happy with the suit. It is sensitive to wear by velcro, as all stretchy neoprene seems to be. Drys really fast, with the fan and squeezing out arms and legs periodically for the first 3h suit dried in 12 hours.

Excellent wetsuit-- kept me warm and comfy in the cold waters of Monterey. Some velcro on my BC pulled some of the external skin of the suit, which is frustrating-- but I suppose I'll see how that ends up. All in, a good buy, and I am very happy with it.

Very comfortable and warm suit. Used it to dive out of Morro Bay in 49 degree water and it kept me warm. Also used it to dive in Monterey Bay and was warm.

Comments about Aqualung Aqua Lung SolAfx 8mm Men's Wetsuit:
This is an awesome wetsuit in my opinion. I dove this suit to 60' in 51 degree water and never got cold and never really got wet. I just returned from 114' deep dive this weekend and quite honestly didnt really get that cold either. The Temp was 41 degrees and really the only thing that got cold was my fingers and feet. Which obviuosly has nothing to do with the wetsuit. If you dont have the money for a dry suit yet then this could work for you. I would invest in some warm boots and gloves and I think you could manage to stay pretty warm on deep dives.

This is a great suit for colder water. Does not let the water get down your back because of the great hood and the spine pad helps a great deal, too! It's a very comfortable suit, easy to move in and very affordable!
Comments about Aqualung Aqua Lung SolAfx 8mm Men's Wetsuit:
I was hesitant on purchasing a suit with an integrated hood, but after trying on this suit I fell in love with the fit/feel (great for larger chest/shoulders). Dove a couple consecutive days/nights in Monterey, CA in 40 degree weather and was warm in and out of the water. The suit was extremely warm, was easy on/off(need a buddy for zipping the last 4-6")and dried quickly. I never write reviews, but this suit deserves one! Highly recommend!
