ZIPPER
YKK #10 brass zipper. Our unique zipper design utilizes dual rubber strips to additionally seal the zipper opening when closed, creating a water resistant closure. In addition, our low profile zipper flap folds over a closed zipper to further seal and secure the zipper in its closed position. The reinforced pull loop at the base of the zipper makes self-donning of the suit fast and easy.
GLIDESKIN
The new AKONA glide-skin neck, wrist and ankle seals minimize water entry and flushing of the suit. The neck, wrists and ankles of these AKONA wetsuits are flush-cut for this purpose. The extremely slick surface and flexible properties of the glide-skin material enable the wearer to enter and exit the suit with ease.
KNEE PADS
Our uniquely designed and stylistic knee pads provide exceptional grip and durability. Unlike the stiff rubber knee pads utilized on other suits today,our revolutionary AKONA knee pad material is fully flexible, and has a hydrodynamic low profile.
SHOULDERS
Our AKONA Grab Shoulder material provides superior wear and scuff protection. Designed to grip a buoyancy compensator to reduce shifting, the Grab Shoulders create a snug and movement-free fit. The unique pattern of the Grab Shoulder material also prevents excessive stretching of the suit when hung to dry.

Used for tropical diving in waters 75-80 deg F.
Suit is comfortable and warm. However, the zipper tends to catch on the skin seal making it necessary to have assistance in zipping up.
Arm & leg lengths seem to be too long as ordered, but can be trimmed back to fit.

Really nice quality wetsuit at a good price. The arms and legs were too long for me like other wetsuits I own. But the cool thing about this suit is you can trim it to length, now it feels custom fitted. Its very comfortable and doesnt chafe. One problem with it is the nonsliding coating they put on the inside of the wrist and ankle parts of suit make it hard to slide suit on and off.

I bought one for myself and my daughter for a dive trip to Roatan, Honduras, where the water temp. was 79. Perfect wetsuit for this kind of diving. The suit was easy to put on, fit well, and kept us warm. The arms and legs are deliberately built long, so you have to trim them. I'm looking forward to diving in these again.

I use this suit to clean a 55,000 gallon saltwater tank at least once a week. Suit allows complete movement, not stiff at all. Tank is at 72 degrees and im still comfortable in this suit. Love everything about it accept I can't get the zipper all the way up without help, but would definately buy it again for the money.

The suit is a great value. Bought it for my son. He's a thin guy so it was a touch big in the upper chest. Wore it for 10 dives in Cozumel and he never got chilled once with 80 min + bottom times.

This is the best wetsuit I have ever put on. The Quantum Stretch material allows for easy on and easy off as well as excellent mobility. It is the next best thing to wearing nothing. I highly recommend this wetsuit.

I had to order 3 of the suits, increasing in size each time. Sizes seem to be toward the small size of the chart ranges. Legs & arms are long for a specific size, but can be trimmed back or folded over in the skin seal area. Back zipper often catches on the skin flap making it necessary to get assistance to zip up.

For my first wetsuit, I like this one. I'm 6.1' and over 250 lbs. The 4XL suit is easy to get into and out of. I do have some problem pulling up back zipper. I have to make sure zipper side flaps are flat against my back and then zipper pulls up OK. I use the wetsuit to extend my inground pool swimming season. So far this Fall, this 3 mm suit has been great in water temperature down to 68 F.

I ordered my a full 3mm suit, then when my husband saw mine, he had to have one also.We wore these suits to Bonaire shore diving, I actually fell upon exit on some lava rock, skinned up my knee, but never tore the suit at all. I feel it's easy to get on and off as it is very stretchy. it adjusts well when wet also. I did trim the sleeves and the legs and it is a perfect fit now. We have reccommended this suit to our friends and he has also reccommended it to his students for a warm water suit. Love the seals too! they're great. I have worn this 3mm up here in the quarrys and fresh water lakes,, and was still warm.

This is a great wetsuit for the price. We bought three... two women's and one men's. We use them for diving here in Hawaii, and 3mm is just the right thickness. We've used them on 8 dives so far, all shore dives that require climbing over lava to enter/exit the water, and the wetsuits have held up great so far. It would have been nice if there were zippers on the arms and legs; however the 3mm Quantum Stretch material is very easy to get in and out of anyway and arm/leg zippers are not really necessary for these suits. Finally, I really liked the wide assortment of sizes available since I'm a big guy (6'5", 260 lbs). I was sure I was going to have to order a custom-made wetsuit, but Akona had a size that fits me! Awesome.

For us folks that are bigger in the middle, this is the suit for you. The arms and legs are a little long but the overall fit is good and allows for good flexibility and growth.
