As you descend underwater, the water gets colder; with the increasing pressure of the water, typical neoprene gets thinner. If the temperature is getting colder and your hood is getting thinner, YOU are going to get cold. When you consider that 30% to 40% of heatloss is from the head, it seems that this area is vitally important when deciding upon protection from the cold. SeaSoft Ti Pro hoods have 3 back and side panels of compressed neoprene. This means that no matter how deep you go, the neoprene is still its original 5mm of thickness, keeping you warm!
For comfort, there are no seams down the middle of the chin, which can cause jaw fatigue and irritation. Seasoft has insert a band of a really soft and stretchy material called Hyperstretch to gently cup the chin and give you unsurpassed comfort and warmth.

description of product sounds great. Sounds like it has ample room to fit my chin, but it does not, and I don't have a particuarly large chin. basically doesn't fit normal people.
