The Merino Lined 5mm Hood is a full-featured 5mm wetsuit hood. Built to the same exacting standards as our 7mm hoods, the 5mm Hood is ideal for divers who chill easily in warm water, cool water, and hearty cold water divers. Constructed from 5mm titanium lined neoprene throughout the head and neck areas, with Pinnacles patented Merino lining throughout. Merino lining adds up to 35% more thermal efficiency then standard neoprene rubber alone. Merion also does not promote the growth of bacteria, making it hygienic and reduces odor. The hood is equipped with a 3mm face seal with smooth skin seal can be trimmed to custom fit the face mask seal. Hood has a automatic vent that allows air to escape as necessary from the top of the hood while restricting water to re-enter. The 5mm Merino Lined Hood offers greater warmth than most standard 7mm hoods, yet is as light and flexible as other manufactures traditional5mm hood. Ideal for cool to cold waters, the 5mm Merino Lined Hood will keep you warm and comfortable dive after dive.

Great hood, I am a big fan of Pinnacle suits. The rubber on the neck is a great match for the rubber on a Pinnacle suit. Even if you don't have a Pinnacle suit, the hood would work fine. The only thing I don't like is that the rubber is only stitched on the bottom of the neck. I would prefer it stitched on the top also instead of it just lose. Maybe there is a reason for it being that way, but I don't like that part.

Great hood to compliment the rest of your Pinnacle Marino Lined gear. It is comfortable and has kept me warm so far. The rubber seal that matches up with the wetsuit seals really does keep the water out.

I own a Pinnacle 5 mil Merino Elastiprene dive suit and this is a great hood to compliment it. Very few people like to wear a hood but at depth, It is a must. Most heat is lost from your head and this hood minimizes this problem. For extended dives at extreme depths, use the 7 mil for all else, this is the one.
