Fits well and doesn't "bite" into your skin like other hoods and exposure gear does. I felt comfortable and not over exposed or too hot. It will stretch with wear, as its designed to, but I found it a great additional layer under my wetsuit.

I purchased this to use under a 3mm full wetsuit (or a 5mm) because I was unhappy with neck seals from traditional hoods and unhappy with my Henderson hooded vest which is too stretchy in the hyperstretch material, allowing water in as you move. This Mares hooded vest is perfect. Fits tighter, very elastic but more resistant to water flow, longer in torso, fits better under a wetsuit, and the face seal is great. The face seal is delicate as are all of these very smooth seal materials so handle gently.
