Mares Trilastic Hoods combined low compression neoprene on the top of the head with a 3mm bib and face area for better heat retention. Low compression neoprene keeps it thickness unlike normal neoprene when the diver descends. Normal neoprene compresses like air when brought to depth. Mares Low compression neoprene does not. This means thicker thermal protection throughout the dive. Want to stay warm you need a Mares Trilastic Hood.

This hood fit perfectly for me. I am 6 feet tall and have a 24 inch head circ. There are no fitting charts so I guessed what size to by. Product was purchased to dive in 60 degree water and did a great job keeping me warm. Easy on and easy off. No air pockets or water movement around head.

During my check out dives, I shunned wearing a dive shop provided hood because it was far too uncomfortable. That is not the case for this hood. As comfortable as a hood can be, great fit and a super value for the money. It helped keep me comfortable in 46 degree water.

The hood is true to its size on the chart I ordered the large and it fits snug but not tight around my head and neck. Havent tried it in cold water yet though.

I use this hood in 16-20 Celsius and it does a good job of keeping me warm.

I got a large for myself (probably a touch large but no real problem) and a medium for my GF who it fits just fine.

I think the vest part is a touch large and needs to be folded so that it doesn't crimp under the wetsuit.

All in all I'm happy with it and would recommend this purchase.

It's unfortunate that there isn't a sizing guide for this product, I got lucky with the guess.
