Keeping warm on a cold dive is the ultimate challenge one must overcome to enjoy the dive and think about what they are seeing on the dive not when will it end so I can get warm again. This Bare Sport 7mm Cold Water Hood is definitely a step in the right direction for total warmth. Hood is designed to seal with your skin around the neck using a Nylon I Skin in Seal which when against your skin will keep water exchange to minimum adding warmth to your dive. Superior cold water protection and comfort, so keep yourself warmer when cold water diving.

I've used the hood 5 times so far, and its comfortable, sometimes feels a little too big, the exhaust air from my 2nd stage tends to push air into the hood, most times letting cold water back in and giving me a small chill. I've only used it in Dutch Springs, and right now the water is about 55-65 degrees, I think its right for the price, with some extra rubber in certain spots, it could be better.

Used this hood in SoCal diving off the channel islands. This hood fits true to size and feels very good. Restriction was only what should be expected by wearing a hood, otherwise very flexible and non binding. there was minimal water flow and it kept me very warm, even at 100 ft and 51 degree water. minimal compression at recreational depths, keeping you warm and comfortable. I am very pleased with this hood, the air vents on top work very well for eliminating trapped air in the hood. Good hood, super comfortable and kept my head warm without over heating at all. great hood!

The hood is equipped with three vent holes on top, which prevents getting a conehead appearance. It fits VERY tight at first; I felt like my head was in a vise. After about eight dives it became more comfortable to pull on and off. The large bib gave my neck an excellent seal against my 7mm Bare wetsuit. My core stayed warm down to 50 degrees without any problem.

This feels like a good quality hood (it's been on 7 dives so far, and no wear yet), and fits snugly around the noggin. I occasionally needed a buddy to help tuck the hood in, but it was definitely warm. Even when my hands and toes started to feel the cold from the N. Cal ocean, my head was just fine.

Bought this hood for a trip out to the USS San Diego. Water was a chilly 48 degrees. Only part of my head that was cold was the exposed parts. Hood limited water movement and kept me nice and warm. Diffentlly would recomend to any North East Divers.

If you get this hood in the right size for your head, it will work very well. There are holes at the top through which air can escape. It also has seals at the base and around the face to help it stay closer to your head, keeping you warm.

A good purchase. Fits true to size and the best part, it works. In my young diving career I have only dove in lakes, needless to say a good hood is vital. The money I saved on this hood allows me to buy extra socks to keep warm.....

Awesome hood! I used it to dive in 50 degree water this weekend, and it kept me toasty warm. The first couple times I tried to put it on, I had a really hard time, but it gets easier and easier every time. I love the hood!

I think it's best hood for wet suits. I using this hood in water under 50F, and my head is always warm and almost dry:)

It's a hood, and a good one at that. It does everything it's suppose to. It goes on easy, comes off easy, and keeps my little bald head warm. Though it has no sign of wear after a few dozed dives, when it does wear out, I will replace it with the same.
