The Bare Nex-Gen Dry-Suit is an affordable back-entry laminate Dry-Suit that utilizes an exclusive fabric and assembly method to provide unmatched performance at a great price, and a dry suit that you can buy off the shelf. BARE's exclusive lightweight, waterproof Nex-Gen welded fabric (abrasion resistant nylon/polyurethane bilaminate), is assembled using Seam Welding Technology (SWT). SWT using hot air, a polyurethane coated tape is applied to a sewn seam. This activates the glue on the tape combining the seam and tape into a weld. This combination actually becomes stronger then the surrounding material-creating an unbreakable seam. What does this mean to you? It means your suit has durability, long life and extreme warmth.

The suit is very comfortable and does the job well of keeping water out.. No leaks nor problems.. The inflater valve seems to stay attached now..Haven't had a problem with it lately.. I would buy another of this suit if I had the need to..

We'll see about the construction in a few years and how long the suit will last..
I don't care much for the inflator valve.. It catches on the tabs and disconnects.. Waiting for a safety recall..
The suit is lightweight and much more comfortable then my old hvy duty drysuit..
Don't care for neoprene feet.. Stays wet and also makes the feet buoyant.. But they are comfortable and warm..
Over all its a great suit for the price. I will sell it in a few years used and buy another..

I use this suit for cold water diving and normally from 30-50 degrees water temp..I am replacing the inflater hose, inflater button and exhaust valve with upgrades.. Overall you get what you pay for but this offer is still a great bargain.. I would recommend this suit to a friend..

I wore out my old Dry Suit with 430 dives with $700 in repairs req'd. Replaced my size #4 with the XXL Bare.. I am 6'2"/ 250lbs.. This Bare is for recreational diving and will be a lot more flexible.. I will just have to stay away from rusted metal/wire so not to tear it.. Its far much better with this new suit.. At [$] for a new Bare I couldn't pass up this sale..I did recommend this suit to two of my friends.. Looking forward to being dry again..

I have been diving this suit for 2-3 years without any problems. Great suit for the price. If I could change anything it would be to a front zipper and pick a slightly smaller size. Look at sizing close.

Great suit, I've had it almost a month. I've accumulated 12 dives with it in really cold water (42 to 45 degrees) and it hasn't let me down. From glacier lake to underground spring fed lakes, its a winner. The only thing is what all the others have noticed, the chest emblem have peeled a bit but I re glued them and kept going. For the price this suit kicks but!

1. Rubber protective pads came loose from the suit after a week od diving. Both knee and shoulder ones. Such rigid pads just do not match great (because so flexible)suit material.
2. The suit had a leak from first dive. Really hard to locate. Caused by a missing/broken layer of laminated material. BARE was not responsive at all. Their Customer Support must be from a different Planet. Looking for their advise/action I felt like being a nuissance. A simple patch fixed the leak.
3. I think suit misses a protective flap on the zipper
4. Bright side: one of those suits that do NOT make you feel like wearing an armor. Light weight yet very strong. Good valves, seals, neoprene socks are a winner too.

I loved the lightweight fabric of this suit. It did not feel as bulky as other dry suits I have used and was quite comfortable to wear. So far the suit has worked well and seems to be quite durable...would definitely recommend.
