Comments about Pinnacle Pinnacle 7mm Merino-Barracuda Boot:
The only complaint I have about these boots is that they are a bit on the ugly side...other than that they are great! Rugged/thick sole, warm, nice zipper, thick rubber on top of boot to protect against foot-pocket rub, and they are comfortable. I've only used them for a few dives but I could immediately tell they were superior to the DeepSee booties I was using previously. Even if you aren't walking over rocks I would still recommend these boots; the thicker soles make you feel more sturdy when walking on stairs, walkways etc. and they do a better job of filling up the foot pocket on open heel fins. I honestly can't imagine any wetsuit boots being much better than these; they really are excellent.
Note: these boots are true-to-size which means if you're a half-size like me, the "down" size will be a bit tight and the "up" size will be a bit loose...I opted for the "up" size and am happy with my decision.

This is an excellent product. Very comfortable and warm. I like the Velcro strap to keep the zipper in place. [...] T

Comments about Pinnacle Pinnacle 7mm Merino-Barracuda Boot:
Really nice boots, just keep in mind that the sole on these boots are thicker than most, the boot cup in your fins had better be large or your feet will go numb after a few minutes, not because of the boot but because of the size of the boot cup in your fin. I use a size 11 and own the Hollis F1 Fin X-Large. I will probably go buy the XX-Large now.
Comments about Pinnacle Pinnacle 7mm Merino-Barracuda Boot:
Very comfortable but sized a little small. I'm a 11.5 or 12 everywhere else but needed a 13 in these boots. Otherwise I love them, very warm!
Comments about Pinnacle Pinnacle 7mm Merino-Barracuda Boot:
These boots are really nice, and are much more comfortable than my other dive boots (4 pairs worth). I really like the big YKK zipper and velco strap to keep the zipper up. The sole is stiff enough to walk down rough and rock shore entry sites without issue, yet not so stiff that they become uncomfortable. The light color is gray, not blue as another review mentioned.
The big thing - they are noticeably warmer than my 5mm boots with 2mm socks. My feet are warm and happy when I dive wet in cooler water now.
Great service from LP as usual. Thanks!

Bought these for a cold water dive (59 f)
Could not be happier-kept my feet and toes warm through out two dives. I've been satisfied with every Pinnacle product I've purchased and will continue to patronize their products. Workmanship and attention to detail are first rate.

Comments about Pinnacle Pinnacle 7mm Merino-Barracuda Boot:
I wear an 8-8.5 shoe and have very narrow, high-arched feet. These provide great arch support and fit well through the ankle but become loose in the toe-box. (height, not width)
I did buy a 9 but with the idea of wearing neoprene socks under for even more warmth because my feet are always cold.
If I went bare feet in the boot an 8 would be perfect.
I ordered the "Blue Reef 3mm Neoprene Sock, Short" to wear in addition to these boots and the combination is amazing. Feel is incredibly comfortable and warm.
I love the wool with the added warmth, feel and absence of smell.
The sole is the perfect blend of thickness and traction. It has a rounded sole on the sides to fit into fins.
Honestly can't say enough about these boots.
A note on the picture: they are all black with a gray/silver Pinnacle logo.

Comments about Pinnacle Pinnacle 7mm Merino-Barracuda Boot:
These boots are comfortable, extremely warm, don't stink as much as non-merino lined boots and are great for walking over rough gravel trails getting down to the water. Unlike other heavy-duty boots I've tried, the rounded edges of the soles allow you to fit into almost any open heel fin.
The fin retention lug on the heel means you can wear your fins a little looser and still be assured that they won't slip off.
I have a pair of Pinnacle 6mm Medium Sole Merino-Apex Boots for boat dives and other places where a medium sole will suffice. They are a little lighter but otherwise just as good.
I didi find the boots cut a little small. With both the 6mm and the 7mm I had to order one size larger than I ususally wear.

Lets just say I didn't get cold feet...pun intended! This boot is awesome. No issues with cold feet or durability. The Marino Lining is also great, never smell that wetsuit funk again. Really, are a few extra bucks worth an enjoyable dive?

Comments about Pinnacle Pinnacle 7mm Merino-Barracuda Boot:
Nothing else to say - My feet stayed warm through 4 Monterey dives at 48 degrees. Don't try to save money - these are worth every cent when you figure the cost of a trip in $/bottom time. Other divers were turning around with air in their tanks, because they were getting too cold.
