I really like and recommend the 130's. I've been using them for about 5 years. Yes, they are heavy out of the water but once I hit the water, I don't care. If you are a small framed diver or frail, large steel tanks are probably not what you want. I'm 200 lbs and my buddy is 180 lbs and we have no problem with the weight. Where these tanks shine is in their capacity and being able to dive with little weight in your pockets.

Good tank, surprisingly light for it's capacity. Would buy another when I have the need for one.

Excellent tank. Smaller then the other people's who are using alum 80's, but holds more air.
I still had 1/3 air left when my dive buddies had to come up because they were almost empty.

I bought two. When I took them to my dive shop to be oxy cleaned and filled they were the star of the show. Great tank and valve setup, you can’t go wrong. Don’t think of buying used. I heard too many stories of used tanks that needed tons of work after they were bought, when you could have bought a new one at these prices.

I purchased these because I wanted longer bottom time and more dives on one tank. I was also able to get rid of most of my extra weight from my BC. The steel 130 HP tanks are great giving you plenty of air, just keep an eye on your bottom time.
It costs the same to fill a 130cf tank as a standard aluminum 80 so you get alot more air for your mony.
I can find nothing wrong with steel 130's except they might be a little heavy for some divers as they weigh around 43lbs empty.
If you are going to buy your own tanks I would recommend The Worthington HP steel in the largest CF that you feel comfortable with.

These tanks are heavy but they are worth the weight. The weight is a wash as it is reduced from what I would otherwise carry in lead. (With wetsuit, hood, boots, & gloves I carry 4 pounds of lead. With a dive skin or shorty I leave the lead on the boat.) The 130 cubic feet of air means I can be an air-hog, swim as hard as I please, and not run out of air before my bottom-time is up on most dives. The galvanized finish holds up well & doesn't slip in my BCD.
Then again, these are man-sized tanks. Small women or kids will not be lugging 130s anywhere. When I wear them as doubles, I know I have weight on my back — until I get in the water.
If you need more air, by all means BUY THESE. You'll agree they are worth their weight in gold.

The tanks are well made and have a uniform attractive finish. I was able to remove 6 lbs of lead so my weight pockets are lighter now.
The really nice thing about this tank is that it is shorter than my AL 80 and gives me 130 CF of nitrox. The larger diameter is not an issue either.
My wife got the 100 CF and it is shorter than her 72 CF shorty.
We are looking forward to extended bottom times on our upcoming FL Keys trip.

Excellent size, capacity and buoyancy (neg of course). I used them for a while as singles, now I doubled them. They make a great set, a bit on the heavy side but the great capacity makes them a perfect choice for deeper/longer dives.
