Brand: XS Scuba
Located in: Essential Equipment, Snorkels
The 3D Dry Snorkel is specifically designed for snorkeling. Like its original brother the 3D Flex Dry the exception is no corrugated tube, yet all the other great features are incorporated to create a truly dry snorkel. The unique floating valve system that closes on contact with water is the heart of this dry snorkel. When you see something on the bottom you want to get a closer look at using a conventional snorkel once you submerge your snorkel tube floods with water. Not so with the 3D Dry Snorkel. The float prevents water from entering the snorkel tube keeping it dry for your return to the surface.

Nothing else compares with the dryness of this specially designed snorkel. Once you have returned to the surface the float falls away from the tube opening allowing water free breathing again. You won't need to "blast" the water out like with other snorkels, just breathe in and you good to go. Snorkel is designed for comfort with its patented adjustable mouthpiece with dual ball joint. The snorkel is also equipped with a one-way purge valve at the bottom of the snorkel which allows any residual water to drain out as you breathe easy.

Comments about XS Scuba XS Scuba M-Line Snorkel 3D Dry:

I know I am a beginner but I have used snorkels before. This seems to be heavy and it flops around because the clip seems to be to big on mask. Plus the mask clip has square ends that dig in my face. I will be getting another on for scuba diving. It does work but I did get water in it and I had to push pretty hard to get all the water out.

Comments about XS Scuba XS Scuba M-Line Snorkel 3D Dry:

My other 3D snorkels are hot pink and lime green and are easily seen at sea when trying to keep track of your snorkel/dive buddies/spouse/kids. The new crystal colors are much harder to see at sea. I plan to paint the above water portion of my latest snorkel.

Comments about XS Scuba XS Scuba M-Line Snorkel 3D Dry:

This snorkel has a TERRIBLE design! I had two of them, both had the ring next to the mouthpiece tear while I was in the water, which allowed the ball joint to start leaking water directly into the purge valve and mouthpiece area. The plastics are cheap on this snorkel, get a flexible one with better construction!

Comments about XS Scuba XS Scuba M-Line Snorkel 3D Dry:

This snorkel performs as it's supposed to. I'm not a huge snorkeler...just on vacation and such, but I thought it's features would be convenient-which they are, however it seems really bulky to me. It is held on by just one clip and it flip flops back and forth when not in your mouth. I thought the mouthpiece was comfortable.

I've bought many Dry Snorkels. This is the only one that delivers. I gave one to my wife who never snorkeled before and is afraid on the water and she had no trouble with it on the first try. I love this snorkel.

The plastic snorkel keeper breaks easy. You can use a rubber keeper but it doesn't work as well. The manufacturer needs to make extra plastic keepers that clip on like the original available for sale

Comments about XS Scuba XS Scuba M-Line Snorkel 3D Dry:

My wife and I got these snorkels during our open-water training at Moby's. We have since logged 22 dives and several snorkeling bouts. The swivel mouthpiece is very comfortable. The snorkel can slide up and down in the clip so you can have it hang lower when you're diving. It seems very sturdy and of good build quality. The valve works GREAT and no water gets in. You can hear the valve in the top 'thunk' shut as soon as it gets underwater, and you can't inhale any air or water. As soon as you're above water, you can breathe fine through it. The snorkel is very helpful when you're in choppy water; when waves crash over your head, the valve closes and no water gets in. :) Overall, a great snorkel but seems a bit top-heavy on my mask. It keeps the sea out, though...
