The SP-460 Imprex Hyperdry snorkel has a special angled chamber at the top of the snorkel that is offset from the main barrel. This unique chamber helps prevent water from entering the main barrel while you're snorkeling by simply deflecting incoming water. If water does get into the snorkel there's an underside purge valve that lets water drain out of the barrel without entering the air intake chamber of the mouthpiece.

As I stated, I use it for lap swimming. For me, it is a perfect fit with my Seal Mask. I have been using a snorkel for 12 years 3-4 times a year, this is my 3rd Tusa.

I can only compare this to cheaper versions of snorkels, like those purchased from [...] (which would fill with water easily.) Snorkel worked great, it got a little water inside but I managed to use it for my 300 yard swim and very seldom did I have to purge. My only complaint, the Cobalt Blue looked purple to me and it did not match the cobalt blue on my Tusa fins!
