Comments about Sherwood Sherwood Edge Snorkel:

The only reason I would recommend this snorkel is if you're a diver that hates snorkels but has to wear one to comply with regulations. It has a fairly comfortable mouthpiece and clears fairly easily, but it floods even easier and has what is probably the worst-ever-designed flexible portion of a snorkel. The transparent flexible part is made of a cheap material/not intelligently designed, and will 'crease' when you put the mouthpiece in your mouth which markedly reduces airflow. This is one of several snorkels I have owned, and is definitely the worst. The best (which I would highly recommend) is the Tusa Platina Hyperdry II (contrary to it's name, it is a semi-dry snorkel).

good scuba snorkel; bad snorkel keeper
By Theresa (and Brad)Verified Purchaser from Ottawa, ON on 4/7/2008
Sizing:
Feels true to size
Pros:
Comfortable Mouthpiece, Easy to clear, Ergonomic Design, Hangs straight for diving, Purge Valve
Cons:
The hard snorkle keeper
Best Uses:
Scuba Diving, Snorkeling, Vacation
Describe Yourself:
Recreational Diver

Comments about Sherwood Sherwood Edge Snorkel:

The snorkel-keeper is rigid and catches your hair (if you have longish hair) and bites at the side of your head. I guess the benefit of the design is that you can adjust the height and it stays put, but I had to replace it with a traditional double rubber ring keeper, I found it so annoying. The snorkel itself was fine for diving because it stayed away from the regulator. I also liked it for snorkeling because it was easy to purge.
