Comments about Scubapro ScubaPro Twin Valve Shotgun 2 Snorkel:

Maximum air suction for free divers - easiest purge ever. Rough handling may dislodge the purge valve below the mouthpiece. It is easy to put back in place.

Comments about Scubapro ScubaPro Twin Valve Shotgun 2 Snorkel:

I have used the original Shotgun since I began diving during the pleistocine. I still have and use this snorkel. Two years ago, I upgraded (I thought) to this model. Several months ago, I bit through the mouthpiece, and I haven't been able to replace the part. What's happend to what used to be an outstanding product?

Comments about Scubapro ScubaPro Twin Valve Shotgun 2 Snorkel:

Best snorkel ever. Insanely dry and low drag. The only thing you have to do to make it perfect is to zip tie the heck out of the mouthpiece. I use it 3 times a day, five days a week. Will never use another snorkel again.

Hard to Overbreathe
By Driven 2 PerlVerified Reviewer from Boston, MA on 7/21/2007

Pros:
Hard to overbreathe
Cons:
Mouth piece falls off
Best Uses:
Pool, Recreation
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Comments about Scubapro ScubaPro Twin Valve Shotgun 2 Snorkel:

I really like the fact that the design is very hard to over breathe. My biggest gripes are that the purge valve can easily get clogged by particulate matter causing wet breathing and the entire mouthpiece / valve assembly easily pulls off. It is cheaper / easier to just buy another snorkel than get replacements. Zip tie it on.

Comments about Scubapro ScubaPro Twin Valve Shotgun 2 Snorkel:

No drag was what I wanted in a snorkel and this one does just that. The snorkel fits flush up against me and drains easy when I exhale. The mouthpiece is comfortable and doesn’t pull. Scubapro makes great masks too.

Horrible Purge Valve Placement
By chuckVerified Reviewer from Fort Hood, TX on 4/23/2007
Sizing:
Feels true to size
Pros:
Comfortable Mouthpiece, Ergonomic Design, Purge Valve
Cons:
Floods Easily
Best Uses:
Pool
Describe Yourself:
Advanced Diver, Beginner
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Comments about Scubapro ScubaPro Twin Valve Shotgun 2 Snorkel:

The purge valve goes straight down and is a very short distance from the mouth piece. As you breath, the purge allows water to build up and eventually you breath it in. If you try to purge it out, more water enters the snorkel. Not a good idea. Some of the other models have the purge off to the side...those styles work better. Snorkels designed similiar to this one are a bad idea.
