I bought this snorkel specifically for scuba diving. For snorkelling I prefer a snorkel with no purge, but for diving I like a mouth piece that stays out of the way until I need it. I looked at several possibilities and the Scuba Pro Trinadad was the best price, design and quality. I am very happy with this snorkel and I will be taking it to the Bahamas in a month. FYI the splash guard is not orange, it's black.
