Comments about Ocean Master Ocean Master Dry Snorkel Advanced Flex:

This is the best snorkel. I bought an Ocean Master dry snorkel similar to this one over 5 years ago in the Florida Keys. This snorkel is my second and I will not buy any other brand.

This snorkel is absolutely bone dry because of the special ball valve on top and the effortless purge valve near the mouthpiece. It fits well and is a piece of gear I can always count on. It is larger than other snorkels but the size is unnoticable when diving.

I have had this one for most of my diving. I tried a couple of others and had problems with them. This the best for high surf, or playing around. It has been in New England during a Northeaster and in Bermuda on vacation. This doesn't get better.

This is the first snorkle in my life. At 58, I decided to try snorkling. This had everything my friends told me to get. 1) the hair guard on the strap 2) the flexible mouthpiece 3) dry as you can find 4) good material that will wear well. It is perfect. everything went so smoothly and I fell in love with snorkling.

The only water i got was when i smiled so big because of how well it was working. I snorkeled thru surf with it heading for deeper water and not a drop of water got in.

Comments about Ocean Master Ocean Master Dry Snorkel Advanced Flex:

I bought these for my trip out to the Keys. I have not used any other snorkel in the past except a straight J tube. I figured I'd get these to try out the purge feature. The intake valve at the top was just a bonus. I tested them out at the local pool before the trip and the purge valve works completely as advertised. I was amazed at how little effort it took me to clear the snorkel. On the trip, we had some bad weather which created roughy, choppy water. The "waterproof" valve at the top was on the money. A couple of time I was swimming back to the boat and was traversing some choppy waves and felt the valve kick in which meant a wave just passed right over me. Man that saved me some lungs full of water. For the recreation snorkeler, these are highly recommended. Only issue I had with these was they were a bit top heavy which cause the snorkel to tilt a little. I'm sure I can adjust it/rig it to be upright but other than that, I'd say probably one of the best snorkels on the market.
