Not all people like their snorkel on the left side of the mask. This tradition of the placement of the snorkel is due to the Scuba regulator comes over the right shoulder, so for convenience and safety the snorkel is worn on the left. The Delta 1 Snorkel is a new reversible snorkel (it can be used on the right andleft side), designed for snorkeling, free-diving and scuba diving.

The bore is made from variable section flexible material to assist swimming, andthe top section is slightly bent to follow the profile of the diver's head. The shape of the splash-top has been designed to prevent water from entering the breathing tube when swimming through waves or wind spray.

The self draining purge system has an elliptical one-way valve that sits in a water collection well. The well keeps any residual water away from the mouthpiece and the breathing tube. The silicone snorkels mouthpiece is replaceable and is the same quality as the one used on Cressi regulators. This allows replacement of the mouthpiece rather than replacement of the entire snorkel once the mouthpiece is worn or damaged.

The lower end has a corrugated section that has a smooth internal bore which prevents trapping water inside the snorkel tube allowing excess water to quicklydrain to the collection well below. The corrugated section also quickly drops away from the diver's mouth when switching from the snorkel to the Scuba regulator. The snorkel keeper ratchets up and down the snorkel tube for perfect adjustment and comfort and has a quick release clip forfast and easy removal from the mask strap.

Comments about Cressi Cressi Delta 2 Snorkel:

I used this for about 10days in the keys while catching lobsters. I found that the snorkel easily filled with water while being towed behind a boat or in small waves. I am sure this would work great with little to no water movement. Also the purge was very hard to clear, and took several attempts to expel the water.

Comments about Cressi Cressi Delta 2 Snorkel:

This snorkel clears fully every time, easily. But its best feature is complete lack of drag - one of the only 'purge' snorkels I have found that you can freedive with zero drag. Fantastic! Lost mine, desperate to replace!! Not cheap but worth it. May need to replace clip though - struggled with that as it can work its way free on ascent.

Comments about Cressi Cressi Delta 2 Snorkel:

This is actually the second Delta II I've purchased after giving my original to a friend. Much, much easier to breathe from than the other models I tried. While diving in Hawaii the purge valve got sand in it, but not enough to prevent a good seal. It was also easy to clean the sand out with a hose.

Comments about Cressi Cressi Delta 2 Snorkel:

The first snorkle I used was a cheapt set from a sports store. I'm happy with this snorkel. I only dive to about 20 feet for a minute or less, but i come up and there often times is little water to clear, and the water that is in the tube clears just fine. After about an hour in the water though my jaw begins to feel a little sore. I've tried to adjust the height or how far from the mask it sits a few times, but so far I haven't been able to get it to where it won't eventually bother me.

Did the job just fine. It's designed well: soft mouth piece but firm enough to hold shape; flexable and swivel tube piece; purge valve worked very well. Used for a week with no problems. Great product.

Comments about Cressi Cressi Delta 2 Snorkel:

I hate this snorkel! The first time I used it, a bunch of sand got clogged in the bottom part of the valve and it was nearly impossible to get it out! Every time I use it, it gets clogged, making accidental water inhalation a common occurrence. I need to clear the snorkel violently way too often to enjoy any activity when using it in the water. Be aware! I will be returning it for another.

Comments about Cressi Cressi Delta 2 Snorkel:

Purchased 5 of these as gifts for family snorkeling trip. All performed as advertised and no one complained. Purge valve is a nice feature and eliminates having to blow hard to empty water from snorkel. Design allows adjustments for best fit. Variety of colors gave everyone their own personal snorkel.
