This new snorkel incorporated the patented Aqua Lung Impulse Dry Valve, and assembly that stops the migration of water into the snorkel tube at the surface and at shallow depths. Like the time tested Impulse, the Impulse Dry features a large-bore contoured barrel for unrestricted breathing.

The flex section allows for comfortable positioning and will allow the snorkel to easily drop away when not in use. The self-draining purge system evacuates any water that might come into the tube during submersion on the scuba regulator.

Equipped with the Aqua Lung Comfo-Bite mouthpiece, this snorkel continues the Aqua Lung tradition of minimum jaw fatigue. The Impulse Dry is lightweight and available in several stylish colors.

sometimes unable to get air. have to blow to open as if purging water out any way. I dislike dry snorkels. If you like dry ones, this is one of the best. It works great.

I have only used this snorkel a handful of times (most of my time underwater is too deep for a snorkel), but so far I'll have to say it's almost impossible to flood this snorkel. Really good product.

I purchased this snorkel for a trip to the Bahamas.We snorkel alot on vacation.This particular snorkel works amazing.I wouldnt reccommend purchasing anything but The Aqualung Impulse Dry.I never had any problems with saltwater getting in my mouth, and I have to say this was the first time.It made for a much more enjoyable time.We not only ordered one,yet 4 of them for the whole family.The only thing that I can say is that at times it works too well but seriously is that really a problem.Buying this item through Leisure Pro also saves you money.Every dive shop we walk into has the same snorkel for [$].We paid [$]here.We suggest BUY,BUY,BUY.

Used it the first time in a pool the other day. I can not be happier. The big bore of this snorkle makes it feel natural to breathe through it. Yes dry snorkles are going to lock up when you are messing around but found when I was skin diving in pool snorkel worked flawlessly. When you tip the snorkel horizontally it will close but I still love it. Bringing it to aruba to give it the ultimate test next month.

Tested in pools, Snorkeled in Hawaii. This dry snorkel worked great! I was able to dive down with no water entering the tube. The Dry uses a float barrel valve to seal. You need to make sure the snorkel is attached to the mask in the position shown in the instructions. If the top of the snorkel is position to far back, in a horizontal position, the valve may not slide down to open when you surface. As long as the snorkel is correctly positioned, it works like a champ. I never had any issue with water in the tube.

I've used many different types of snorkels in the past 40 years and this is the best I've ever used. For recreatinal snorkeling or even as a SCUBA backup this snorkel performs without flaw. The mouthpiece is very comfortable and the flex tubing eliminates the usual tugging when duck diving. Even the strap holder is superior. This is the most natural feeling snorkel I've tried.

When working up a breath for freediving, rough waves make the dry valve lock up and you get nothing. Throws off your concentration. If the barrel were a little bit taller away from your head rough stuff would not affect the performance as much. This item works great in calm seas. Also have a problem with the snorkel sliding to the back of my head.

I just returned from a week in the Hawaiian islands. This snorkel delivered on its promises and enabled me to snorkel with confidence. I snorkeled in both calm and choppy waters and even with waves crashing over my head this snorkel stayed DRY!! I love it and find myself daydreaming of snorkeling in Kauai now :)

It is a great snorkel, but I do not like the restricted air flow and bulkiness. It is to large for SCUBA. This would be good for snorkel divers on vacation that do not want any water in there mouth. The Impulse 3 does a great job of clearing, is lighter and better overall for SCUBA.

Purchased 3 for our last 2-week trip to Bonaire for wifey and 2 nephews. They loved it over the Aqualung Impulse II (semi-dry). Make sure to clean/rinse it thoroughly after the use in ocean water so (temporary) leaks can be avoided.

This is the best snorkel I have ever used. The mouthpiece is very comfortable. It really is a "Dry" snorkel. My wife was using a regular bottom draining snorkel in Hawaii and made me give her my Impulse Dry. Needless to say a few days after we returned home there was an Impulse Dry ordered for her. The snorkel is a little bulky, but it is definitely feature packed.
