Comments about Aqua Blue Reef Tiara 2 Flex Snorkel:

Great dry snorkel that really does keep water out. Worked perfectly for floating while waiting for the boat to pick me up or for snorkeling. Occasionally, if I leaned too far forward the dry valve would close when I didn't want it to, but it's easy enough to reopen.

Comments about Aqua Blue Reef Tiara 2 Flex Snorkel:

This worked great for swimming around in the pool with the snorkel out of the water. We liked it and bought a second.

But the first time we submerged and then surfaced, we couldn't clear the water out of the tube. The other worked just like the first.

We have non-flexible dry snorkels that have no such problems. We thought the flex tubes would be great to fold and stick in a BCD pocket, but I wouldn't want to have to rely on this while waiting for a boat to return

Comments about Aqua Blue Reef Tiara 2 Flex Snorkel:

I used this for the first time right out of the bag in Cancun on a snorkeling trip. It was very windy that day with chop. I had absolutely no trouble keeping water out. We would drift down the reef, then swim against the current to the starting point and do it again. No trouble even when hitting waves. I hate snorkels and loved this one. My wife loved it so much I had to order her one when we got home. I don't go on and on about things, but this is a steal. We love it.

Comments about Aqua Blue Reef Tiara 2 Flex Snorkel:

The mouthpiece is not the most comfortable and I wouldn't use this for very long periods of time unless I replaced it, but for scuba it works well. It is not too expensive and I don't see the point of paying a whole lot of money if you don't have to. I would recommend a different snorkel if you are planning to use it a lot.

Comments about Aqua Blue Reef Tiara 2 Flex Snorkel:

12/21/08 I just got back from two dives this morning using this snorkel. The mouthpiece is comfortable, no need to jaw down hard on it to keep it in place. The mount holds well, but allows for easy re-positioning. The purge valve works very well. And the only thing I didn't like was how easy the top valve closes to prevent water and AIR from flowing. I did not experience any flooding, but in choppy water and with heavy inhaling the valve up top would close in the middle of intake. It was frustrating. Now I believe this is an excellent snorkel for swimming around in more sedate waters, but in chop or for someone with large lungs, this snorkel may be too sensitive for hassle free use. On both dives I just used my regulator while at the surface. I will try it again before I decide to purchase another snorkel. Check back to see my 2nd opinion.

Comments about Aqua Blue Reef Tiara 2 Flex Snorkel:

I never once had it flood, the purge valve works like a dream. The mouth piece is very comfortable, I was breathing as well in the water as I do on dry land.

So easy to use my 6 year old niece mastered it in under 5 min.

The quick disconnect on the snorkel is great, set it once on your mask and it will always be the same when you clip the Snorkel back on.

Comments about Aqua Blue Reef Tiara 2 Flex Snorkel:

We bought 3 of these to take on a trip to St. John, VI last summer. We found this snorkel was definitely "dry" even on a windy day when we were out in swells of several feet (our charter sail boat heeled way over on its side).

We are definitely novices. I found I sometimes could not get a real good deep breath of air when my head was out of the water...the only solution was to plop my head down in the water and enjoy the under water scenery. That was a little disconcerting for me and I suppose that is due to "dry" feature; the other 2 family members did not complain about this. I found if I had my head out of the water I often just had to remove mouthpiece.

We did not have problem with purge. I read in a book in our St. John condo all you have to do is say "two" into the mouth piece and the water will shoot right out. That worked!!

We spent 6 days going to different beaches on St John and had a blast with the snorkeling equipment we purchased. Our stuff was better quality and it was more convenient than renting.
