When I first bought the reg I was pretty excited, then I started hearing not so good things. Decided to try it out anyways and I am impressed. I really wanted to give a accurate review since there are not many out there. For the price it is a great reg. I used it in fresh water quarry first, for safety due to things I heard. That went well so I went on a 70ft wreck dive in NC and water temp was 46F. The reg breathed great and I had no issues. I have a Scubapro R395 octo, I changed between the Brut and the R395 to compare. They were to close to compare. The mouth piece felt a little short and I was at times worried it would fall out. So all in all its my opinion that it is a great reg. Not a SR1 or A700 but for the money good reg and I would buy it again.

I was really impressed with the ease of breathing with this regulator. For the money, I don't think I could have found anything better.
