When diving, the most crucial thing is your ability to breath. It sounds simple enough, but many regulators simply aren't up to the tasks they face. Scubapro's MK25/G250 V regulator is a rig that will keep you breathing easily and with confidence. What else could you expect? This is a Scubapro regulator, after all!

The Mk25 first stage offers an air-balanced piston technology. While this sounds quite complicated, the basic idea is far from it. Basically, this means your airflow isn't affected by tank pressure. The balanced piston quickly responds to the diver's demand for air, tank pressure, etc. Regardless of the strains put on this first stage, the air flow will be smooth and at the level you need. Just because the MK25 has an air-balanced piston, don't think air control is out of your hands. You can externally adjust the pressure to control the air flow without disassembling the MK25 - a feature that is quite handy, especially after routine maintenance.

In addition to providing easy and reliable airflow, the MK25 offers you the flexibility to set up the first stage in a matter that suits you. There are two opposite high pressure ports and five high flow ports (for low-pressure hoses) that are located on a swiveling turret. Why choose a first stage with high flow ports? Simple - you get approximately fifteen times more air than with lowpressure ports.

The G250 V second stage is not to be out-done by the MK25's features. The G250V offers Scubapro's air-balanced valve technology. This feature uses spring tension to provide smooth breathing, regardless of where you're diving

The Scubapro developed VIVA (Venturi-Initiated Vacuum Assist) to assist with easing each breath the diver takes. As the air is pulled into the second stage casing, a vacuum is created behind the diaphragm. In turn, the diaphragm depresses the lever that maintains the poppet open for a "power assist" breath. In addition to the VIVA, the air-balanced power inflator valve means you'll have a steady stream of air, regardless of the pressure in your tank. Because each diver and each dive is slightly different, Scubapro's G250 V second stage also allows you to manually adjust the inhalation effort. The external control knob (oversized for easy manipulation while wearing dive gloves) leaves the flow of air in your capable hands.

Many divers enjoy the splendor of tropical water. Many but not all. Some divers like to plunge into cool and occasionally frigid waters to take a look around. That's why all Scubapro regulators are approved for 4300 psi cold water diving; this approval means you don't have to have one setup for warm water diving and another for those cold water adventures. Simplify your gear by requiring only one regulator setup - the MK25 / G250.

GREAT reg. Feels more substantial than the S600. Breathes REALLY great. Left reg on "pre-dive" setting the whole dive on San Francisco Maru in Truk. Breathed great the whole dive.

Comments about Scubapro Scubapro MK25/G250V Regulator:

I replaced my 13 year old MK15/D350 ScubaPro reg. with this setup about 100 dives ago and I couldn't be happier. I've always been impressed with the quality of ScubaPro regs and can't say enough good things about this one. I did replace the mouthpiece with a custom one, so I can't comment on the mouthpiece comfort of the original. I spend a lot of time upside down underwater and this reg has not given me one second of problems no matter what my profile. I've tested and dove with many $1000 plus regs and this one is equal to any of them in ease of breathing and quality.
