i was amazed with the airflow of this mix of1st stage and 2nd stage, the only problem is the overflow at the surface if you adjusted the 2nd stage maximum air flow.

A great combo for Colder waters and dirty water. The sealed design of the Stage one keeps it going in murky waters. The Second stage allows maximum air flow at all depths. The Second Stage does not purge into your mouth, so you don't have to worry about a mouthful of water or forceful air in the mouth if you use the purge. The only drawbacks are the purge is a little stiff and if you have it adjusted for maximum air flow, you will get a free flowing regulator at the surface if you don't put it on the surface settings before letting it out of your mouth on the surface. A great all around Regulator. I love it and don't have any plans to change.
