SECOND STAGE
The GT3 is one of Oceanic's easiest breathing second stages. It offers diver adjustable inhalation, which desensitizes the second stage so it won't freeflow during shore entries or long surface swims. Additionally, the GT3 has Oceanic's patented Dynamic Adjustment feature. This allows a diver to set a preferred breathing resistance. You won't have to make the adjustment more than once, the GT3 maintains the setting no matter how deep or how shallow you go.
One of Oceanic's lightest and most compact second stages, the GT3 weighs just 5.8 ounces; the front of the super sturdy ABS/polycarbonate housing is only 2.67 inches in diameter.
Its lightweight and anatomically designed mouthpiece translate into a second stage that doesn't cause jaw strain, even during long dives.
FIRST STAGE
The CDX5 offers a balanced diaphragm and is made of chrome plated marine brass. It features DVT (Dry Valve Technology), an innovative design that keeps moisture and contaminants out of the first stage, even if you forget to put the dust cap on. This means internal components remain corrosion and bacteria free. It also means the CDX5 is excellent for ice diving (it won't freeze up) or diving in waters filled with contaminants or sediment (it won't corrode).
The DVT system helps keep air flow to the diver unrestricted. It starts to work as soon as the dive is over, before the regulator is even removed from the tank.
Weighing 29 ounces, the CDX5 is one of Oceanic's heaviest first stages. As is the GT3, it comes ready to use with air or nitrox mixtures up to 40 percent. Two high pressure and four low pressure ports assure a place for all your necessities and accessories.

Great reg for the price. Compare it with the other Oceanic regs at Oceanic[@] that cost far more and you will see it has all the same features for far less money. Adjustable breathing knob - effortless breathing at 125 fsw. When I tested my Oceanic Octo-swiv at 125 fsw breathing took much more effort.

I finally got to use the regulator shore diving in Bonaire. And only went to 60 feet with it this trip. Its very easy breathing and smaller size is nice. The only thing I did not like about it, was it freeflowed so easy when getting in and out of the water. I learned to close the valve before getting in and out. Just remember to turn the nob back ON before going underwater!! other then that it worked great!

I took this regulator out for the first time two weekends ago. Breathing was effortless and there was absolutely no jaw fatigue. I have another one on the way for my wife.
The first regulator I received was damaged.
I contacted Leisure Pro and they sent me another

Breathes very well right out of the box. Great diaphragm design works great in cold water. I've used it in 57F water with no problems at all. Breathes effortlessly. Hoses are a little short, but other than that, I can't complain. The mouthpiece is great, and I haven't had any jaw fatigue. For the price you just can't beat this regulator.

We did a lot of research before buying this regulator. I used this for our last trip to the Philippines and it worked extremely well. As it is still brand new, I have only used it for 12 dives, but so far, I LOVE it.

After a long absence from diving I came back and began looking for a set of regs. Price was going to be a big issue. I dont mind paying the price but shopping for the best price is what I like to do. First I bought an unbranded set (because they were cheap) they were good but didnt know if I could trust them at depth. I met up with my old instructor who used and recommended this setup even though he has the delta 2nd stage. He liked the GT3 setup and price was awsome his advice was go for it. Diving down to 30 meters for the first time in a long time I needed to trust my regs and they didnt fail, absolutley fantastic. Great breathing and my brother who had just swapped to this setup agreed.
In review, for the last 5 weeks I was being bombarded with everyones opinion and worst was those that bagged other products to justify their own. LP and its customer reviews helped me make up my mind easily and I thank them for this. My instructor friend was the final seal of apporoval and the deal was done. Thanks to all for your honest reviews and I hope this review helps others too.

I chose to buy from Leisure Pro because of their price and reputation. They didnt let me down at all. Buying from Australia was always my concern but after reading a couple of reviews from fellow Aussies I had to have a go. LP were great and the delivery time was amazing. 5 Days from purchasing they were in my hand in Australia, WOW. It takes 8 days to get something from interstae in Australia, so LP whatever and however you do it keep on doing it because you got me comming back.
PS: You just got to get this warranty thing sorted out with Oceanic Australia, I am still happy though. :)

This reg is comfortable underwater, it breathes so smoothly you forget you're using it, no matter what the angle - and I was messing around trying to find an awkward position with it. It's superb, really.
I expect to switch to a Comfo-Bite mouthpiece since I did get a slight tug in my mouth from my hose which I'm sure the new mouthpiece will fix. I couldn't clamp the mouthpiece too well to offset this. However, the mouthpiece provided is very comfortable. Beyond that it is an excellent piece of engineering.
I recommend it strongly.

First stage on this reg is compact. Mine is the non-DVT version of the first stage, but doubt there's much difference.
Second stage is fairly compact and offers a diver-adjustable knob, however I can tell very little difference on the settings. Despite that the reg performs very nicely.
One thing to note: If you're the type that likes user manuals (and I am), you'll find very little documentation about this regulator in the generic Oceanic regulator user manual. Their website is no more help. Specifically I was looking for information on which knob direction increased/decreased airflow as it's not marked on the 2nd stage... I have yet to find clear information on this.

It takes no effort to breath. Once you adjust the regulator to your comfort, that's it. I almost forget I'm using it.
