CDX-5 Balanced Diaphragm First Stage
The CDX-5 Balanced Diaphragm First Stage is the perfect regulator for extreme diving conditions, such as ice diving or diving in high sediment. The balanced diaphragm first stage design has been the regulator of choice for many divers who find themselves pushing the envelope. The advanced design of the CDX-5 isolates the critical seats ando-rings from the harsh environment. This helps prevent internal corrosion and contaminant buildup, leading to more consistent performance between service intervals.

Alpha 8 Second Stage
The Alpha 8's super sturdy ABS/Polycarbonate composite housing weighs just six ounces and measures just more than two and three-quarter inches in diameter. Even the ring that holds the cover in place is feather light, it'smade of anodized aircraft aluminum. The lightweight material and anatomically designed mouthpiece translate into a second stage thatwon't cause jaw strain.

I have used this regulator to 185ft. and to 160ft. on several dives at Bikini Atoll and it performed flawlessly. Breathes the same at 185 as at the surfact.

Great performance at any depth and in any environment. I have it coupled to an aqualung LX second stage for cold water diving.I took this regulator way past 130ft (that's all I can say) at below 40F temp. and it breathed the same as it did at 30ft and 55F.You cannot find a better regulator for the price, even if you have to replace the high pressure seat, which by the way is free for the affected regulators.Great regulator despite the past recall.
