The XS2/AC2 Regulator is an exceptionally dependable non-balanced Flow-by-Pistondesigned 1st stage Regulator that is a great choice as a new divers rig, or for use as a stage bottle regulator system. The Second-Stage housing is made of durable non-corrosive hi-tech polymers, and has a dependable downstream demand valve mechanism. The flow of air is channeled to the mouthpiece by injection, creating a venturi effect enhancing the performance. The 2nd stage comes with a flow deviator that acts on the Venturi effect, with dive/pre-dive function.

Comments about Cressi Cressi XS2/AC2 Piston Regulator:

Used this regulator on my first 15 dives both in class and after. Not a bad regulator and definitely one of the better low cost regulators. I did have issues on almost every dive with it freeflowing if not kept in a perfect orientation but once you're breathing from it its fine. I also noticed it breathes a bit wet, not a big issue but not something you should expect in nicer regs. Lastly at 80ft and below it tends to become a bit more difficult to breathe from.

Comments about Cressi Cressi XS2/AC2 Piston Regulator:

The 2nd stage is decent, it is a bit large, but not heavy and breathes good. It is a good value reg for sure. The 1st stage is not the best, for one it only has 1 hp port, second of all it isn't angled very well and doesn't sit very nicely on the tank leaving the hose's a bit awkward. For what it cost overall though it functions just fine for a starter reg set.

I have the XS2 hooked up to the AC2 on a 5' hose. Even at lower pressures (500 - 1000 psi), it supplies air w/o any problems. A well designed reg IMO. Would definitely buy this reg again.

Can't say anything bad about this regulator; everything seems to be designed and function perfectly. The ability to make adjustments is great especially when diving at depth. Also, the second stage is very easy to purge.

flawlessly. Just bought one for my wife.

Comments about Cressi Cressi XS2/AC2 Piston Regulator:

Have 40 dives on it, mostly boat diving where I usually come in with 1000-1200psi left. But last week's trip 5 shore dives I noticed the reg during it's last 1000-500psi made me suck real hard to get the air out of it. My other shore dive exits were fine if I had 1000psi+ left so I never noticed this before.

I bought this reg for my 11 year old daughter. She used it for her pool and open water dives and it worked just great. She was very comfortable with it and its profile worked well for her small mouth (although I did change the mouthpiece to a smaller one).

Comments about Cressi Cressi XS2/AC2 Piston Regulator:

My son and I both have an XS-2 regulator set. I have about 80+ dives on mine and it has never failed me yet. It breathes easy and is lightweight and comfortable. It may not have as many bells & whistles as some other regulators but it you want your own regulator and can't afford to spend a ton of money, this is a good regulator for you. I highly recommend it.

It is easy to maintain and can be serviced at most reputable dive shops. I have used it in tropical climates (Bahamas, Jamaica, Hawaii) and cold water dives in So. California (55 degrees) without any issues.
