In an effort to continually meet the needs of today's divers, TUSA is expanding their regulator line with the Inflator Regulator. It's a downstream backup regulator that also provides you with easy-to-operate buoyancy control. The Inflator Regulator is positioned at the end of the buoyancy compensator hose, the ideal location for quick, efficient use. Because you use it as your power inflator, you always know where it's located . Plus, the Inflator Regulator cuts down on hose clutter because you use the same hose to supply both the power inflator and the backup regulator. The regulator features a dependable down-stream demand valve mechanism.

smart conception,i bought it to replace the valve that was leaking on my sherwood bcd, just did a great job, the quick connect is big enought to manipulate easily with your gloves on and underwater combined.

What can I say about this alternate air? You're not ever going to use it except in an emergency, so the mouthpiece being a little stiff doesn't really matter much. It's easy to breathe from and the button layout makes sense to me.

My girlfriend also purchased one, but found the buttons hard to push. She ended up with an Atomic alternate air/inflator, but it was about twice the price. I'm very happy with mine.

Great product, looks like a scuba-pro 3. Works great but does breath a little hard but great for a alt reg. Really easy to install ,one less hose at a great price.

For the price this is a good 2nd stage air. The regulator is not very comfortable or ergonomic to use, however it is an emergency device and you will hopefully never have to breath on it for extended periods of time.

It is slightly on the heavy side, but you hardly notice when your busy diving.

Overall I would recommend this for a diver on a budget.

Very Nice Unit...extremely reliable. Takes same rebuild kit as Scubapro Air II, but a lot less money. The hoses alone sell at [$] at dive stores, so the price including the unit and the hose is an excellent deal.

Have had the Tusa Duo Air for almost a year and about 75 dives. Very pleased with it. Easy to distinguish buttons - I especially like this design when compared with some of the other button configurations out there, good breather. I recommend practicing with it to become familiar and comfortable accessing it and actually breathing with it if the need should arise. Jaw fatigue could be an issue for longer term use by its very nature, but being an alternate this really is a non issue.
The Duo Air was easy to install and have liked it well enough to buy another one for a new Zeagle BC I recently purchased. Felt it was a very good value after the research I did.

This regulator was easy to install on the BC and first stage. It is also very easy to breathe off of and use for regulating buoyancy. The Tusa Duo-Air Alternate Combo Inflater IR-3 is not lacking in performance.
It seems all integrated combo regulator/inflaters would have many of the following characteristics: It is somewhat confusing to use both the breathing and buoyancy controls at the same time since you must manipulate the buttons in front of your face. The short hose length means that in a buddy breathing emergency your buddy will use your primary while the diver uses the combo inflater. The short hose also means the device is always in place and never difficult to reach or dragging on the bottom.
