Sherwood's New Dual Octopus is a great addition to any diver's gear bag. This new Octopus, just as the name indicates, allows the mouthpiece to be installed in two separate positions and allows any diver maximum comfort, and never sacrifices Sherwood's history of reliability and durability.

Your Octopus should be simple and reliable. The Sherwood Dual Octopus is. In fact, it is so simple you don't need to decide whether you want a left-handed or right-handed version. With this design it doesn't matter. The unique patented design of the Dual Octopus positions the hose so that you can handle it with equal convenience from the left or right side.

Additionally, the Dual Octopus mouthpiece can be positioned for a traditional 90-degree angle with the hose or to lay flat against the body. All it takes is a simple alteration that can be quickly performed by your professional Sherwood dealer. There are no additional parts involved, only a repositioning of the mouthpiece. Of course this regulator has been designed to match the rugged reliability that has become so strongly associated with Sherwood.

Owned for a year both open water diving and advanced training. Dependable octo. Put this one on a necklace and it is really a streamlined piece of equipment with no searching should you ever really need it.

Comments about Sherwood Sherwood Dual Octopus:

I would urge you to choose another octopus. I have owned this item for three years and make 15-25 dives a year.

Beginning last year it began to regularly flow after entering the water and continues to do so until you reach a depth of 35-60'. Holding it upside down or placing your thumb over the mouthpiece slows the flow somewhat.

I have had the item serviced four times. But invariably it begins to have the same problem after a few dives.

I recommend a different choice.

I put this on my son's regulator set and he's very pleased with the small size and ease of use. It was easy to install, breathes well and is very well-balanced for an octopus.

Practical but hard breathing
By pedroVerified Reviewer from albuquerque on 9/5/2008

Comments about Sherwood Sherwood Dual Octopus:

My wife bought this octo because it works equally well for herself or to share. We mounted the mouthpiece in the right angle position so that it stays close to the face. Unfortunately, this unit breaths very hard. Octos should be hard breathing so that they never free flow but this one goes a little too far. I haven't figured out how to adjust it yet.
