With its classic downstream valve for safe, reliable performance due to its robust design and low maintenance, 39-inch hose for convenient alternate air source function with yellow hose protector and yellow regulator cover for easy identification, left & right hose attachments for extra flexibility and comfortable positioning, so you cankeep it on whatever side feels is best. Right hand attachment is supplied as standard but the left hand conversion can be performed by an Authorized SCUBAPRO service technician. The R395 compact size and lightweight materials for comfort and reduced drag during the dive, orthodontic silicone mouthpiece in smaller size for perfect fit, gives no gum irritation and less jaw fatigue. R395 Octopus matches all SCUBAPRO first stages. R395 features diver's adjustable VIVA for personal breathing comfort and our R295 has fixed VIVA for safe and uncomplicated use.

This regulator is awesome, could probably be used as a primary reg. The reg has effortless breathing and matches several qualities with other scubapro second stages.

True story: During my open water certification dives, when practicing out of air drills my dive instructor had to use my R395 octo. When we came up out of the water her first words were; "Man that alternate air source breathes nice!" I am very happy with my purchase and Leisurepro's price couldn't be beat.

For me, the crucial thing with an octopus is that it doesn't free-flow. I use it as a primary during safety stops just to check out how it performs. Smooth, almost as good as my S600.

The dive/predive switch is a great feature. This regulator does not freeflow! You can use it for a primary or an octopus.
