I don't recommend it for two reasons: it breathes hard, my previous Oceanic Slimline just fell apart, and this one looks similar.
Comments about Oceanic Oceanic Slimline 2 Octopus, Yellow:
Breathes reasonably. No freeflow, easy to purge. Bright yellow hose and purge valve. Compact design makes it easy to carry with less drag.
Switched from Sherwood Shadow to have an all-Oceanic regulator, simplifying annual maintenance.

Don't even look at this product unless you are a left handed diver. Oceanic has right hand and left hand models, However Leisurepro sell only the right hand design.
Go for the Oceanic Swivel Octo w/magnetic keeper!!!
Comments about Oceanic Oceanic Slimline 2 Octopus, Yellow:
I have a very old 1st stage, and the connectors were different sizes. The adapter to make it work was [$]... so I just returned this item and upgraded my 1st and 2nd stages.Because of that, I never got it wet, can't testify to how well it works.
Comments about Oceanic Oceanic Slimline 2 Octopus, Yellow:

Great value for an alternate air source, this is part of my novice value set up. I like the slim profile, easy of use, and reliability. Never had any problems of free flow with this regulator when entering the water unlike some I have seen and used in the past.
Excellent value for your first setup if you are concious of every penny you are spending.
Comments about Oceanic Oceanic Slimline 2 Octopus, Yellow:
My primary started breathing wet on my first dive recently so I used this little octo for the remainder of the trip, six long dives in all. It worked perfectly, I couldn't distinguish it from the primary. It's a bargain and so easy to stow.

Comments about Oceanic Oceanic Slimline 2 Octopus, Yellow:
This is the most trouble-free Octopus I have ever used. In fact, I got "8" of them to use with my students. They are reliable and I have never had one yet free flow. They last for years, and they never get in the way of other gear. Compared to others, you cant beat the price ! Fins of Fun Diving.

Comments about Oceanic Oceanic Slimline 2 Octopus, Yellow:
This is the second SlimLine2 I have purchased; on the first the purge cover cracked and then crumbled away over several dives. The material for the cover does not seem strong enough to stand up to any rough handling. Perhaps this has been resolved in the newer model. However, for the price, this is a nice compact octo and tucks away easy.

Comments about Oceanic Oceanic Slimline 2 Octopus, Yellow:
Used it on an open water (cold) dive, first in a few years. Very happy with the design, easy to stay flat and out of the way.
Comments about Oceanic Oceanic Slimline 2 Octopus, Yellow:
Low profile, breathes good for a octo.Own 3,never let me down.

Comments about Oceanic Oceanic Slimline 2 Octopus, Yellow:
Good basic octopus. It does the job
Comments about Oceanic Oceanic Slimline 2 Octopus, Yellow:
Everything I expected in a good octo - low profile design that clipped to my BCD no problem. No free flow, easy purge, and no difficulty drawing a breath at depth. That it can be used right or left is a nice plus.
Comments about Oceanic Oceanic Slimline 2 Octopus, Yellow:
works fine and is small, plastic cover that protects exhaust valve pops off whenever the octo is tapped hard as when the octo swings around when gear is handled. This cover should be mounted more securely.
Comments about Oceanic Oceanic Slimline 2 Octopus, Yellow:
This octo has a great low profile design. It fits nicely along side your BC with minimal drag. It is not suitable as a primary as performance is pretty poor, but it is satisfactory enough to keep you safe if needed.

Comments about Oceanic Oceanic Slimline 2 Octopus, Yellow:
Good product that breathes fine, but must be used right side up to function properly.
Comments about Oceanic Oceanic Slimline 2 Octopus, Yellow:
How can one complain. An Oceanic EANx ready octopus for under $50. It is is there just in case and it does its job very well. I upgraded my regulaors and transferred my alternate air/inflator to the upgraded set. With this octopus's compact and streamline design, I hardly notice I now have an extra item attached when using what is now my back-up regulator set.
Comments about Oceanic Oceanic Slimline 2 Octopus, Yellow:
a better, safer approach than the integrated octo at an very affordable price point. Well made for its cost.
Comments about Oceanic Oceanic Slimline 2 Octopus, Yellow:
Great alternative to the bulky standard octo. [...]
Comments about Oceanic Oceanic Slimline 2 Octopus, Yellow:
I wanted to replace the original bulky octopus on my HUB. This fits in the pocket perfect!
Comments about Oceanic Oceanic Slimline 2 Octopus, Yellow:
I had it adjusted 2 times and still freeflowed so I gave up and bought a different brand and style.
Comments about Oceanic Oceanic Slimline 2 Octopus, Yellow:
Its fine...nice and streamlined, breaths OK but not great, have pointed, it can be a bit awkward to use because its "directional." I sometimes think I should have bought the swivel or the Alpha sport octo, for more flexibility/better breathing, respectively. This one is fine though...it works, and doesn't get in the way when you don't need it which is 99% of the time.
Comments about Oceanic Oceanic Slimline 2 Octopus, Yellow:
Well, I've only used it when screwing around and to make sure it still works, but each time, I breathe in and it gives me air. It is an octo, that's all and it serves its purpose.
Comments about Oceanic Oceanic Slimline 2 Octopus, Yellow:
I've owned this Octo for over three years and have not had one issue with it. Works great. Easy breathing, and slim design fits to you without any issues. Can't go wrong with this one.

Comments about Oceanic Oceanic Slimline 2 Octopus, Yellow:
i need more o2 because the silicon diaphragm sometimes fail and leave constant flow when the mouthpiece narrow to the top.
